In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High.

2. Who created everything, then shaped it perfectly.

3. Who planned carefully, then guided each thing.

4. Who brings out fresh green plants.

5. Then turns them dry and dark.

6. We will teach you the Quran, and you won't forget it.

7. Except what Allah wills. He knows what is open and what is hidden.

8. And We will make the easy path smooth for you.

9. So remind others, if reminding helps.

10. Those who respect Allah will pay attention.

11. But the most unhappy ones will turn away.

12. Those who will enter the great Fire.

13. Where they won't die or live.

14. Successful is the one who purifies himself.

15. Who remembers the name of his Lord and prays.

16. But you prefer this worldly life.

17. Even though the Hereafter is far better and everlasting.

18. This message was already written in the earlier scriptures.
