In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. How terrible for those who cheat others.

2. Those who, when they take measure from people, demand full amounts.

3. But when they measure or weigh for others, they give less than they should.

4. Don't they realize they'll be raised back to life?

5. On a great Day?

6. The Day when all people will stand before the Lord of the worlds?

7. Truly, the record of the wicked is kept in Sijjin.

8. And what can make you understand what Sijjin is?

9. It is a clearly written record.

10. Woe on that Day for those who deny the truth.

11. Those who reject the Day of Judgment.

12. No one rejects it except the sinful and rebellious.

13. Who, when Our verses are read to them, say, "These are just old stories."

14. No! Rather, their hearts have become stained by the wrong they used to do.

15. On that Day, they'll be kept away from their Lord.

16. Then they'll enter the blazing Fire.

17. And they'll be told, "This is what you used to deny."

18. Truly, the record of the righteous is kept in Illiyyin.

19. And what can make you understand what Illiyyoun is?

20. It is a clearly written record.

21. Witnessed by those close to Allah.

22. Surely, the righteous will be in happiness.

23. Relaxing on couches, looking around.

24. You'll see the brightness of joy shining on their faces.

25. They'll be given a pure drink, sealed and protected.

26. Its seal is musk — so let those who compete, compete for this!

27. It is mixed with Tasnim.

28. A spring from which those closest to Allah will drink.

29. Those who did wrong used to laugh at the believers.

30. When they passed by them, they'd wink and mock.

31. And when they returned to their families, they'd joke about them.

32. When they saw the believers, they'd say, "These people are so lost!"

33. But they weren't sent to watch over them.

34. Today, the believers will laugh at the unbelievers.

35. Relaxing on couches, looking around.

36. Have unbelievers been paid back for what they used to do?
