In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. By those angels who pull out souls forcefully.

2. And those who draw them out energetically.

3. And those who glide swiftly.

4. Racing ahead eagerly.

5. And those who carefully carry out Allah's commands.

6. On the Day when the first blast shakes everything.

7. Followed quickly by the second blast.

8. Hearts on that Day will tremble with fear.

9. Their eyes lowered in humility.

10. They say, "Will we really be brought back to life, as we were before?

11. Even after we've become old, crumbled bones?"

12. They say, "Then that return would be a total loss!"

13. But it will only take one mighty blast.

14. And suddenly, they'll be awake and alive again.

15. Has the story of Moses reached you?

16. When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa.

17. "Go to Pharaoh — he has crossed all limits.

18. And say, 'Would you like to purify yourself.

19. And let me guide you to your Lord, so you may fear Him?'"

20. Then Moses showed him the greatest miracle.

21. But Pharaoh called it a lie, and disobeyed.

22. Then he turned away and left in a hurry.

23. He gathered his people, and He shouted loudly.

24. Saying, "I am your highest lord!"

25. So Allah seized him with punishment, making an example of him in this life, and the next.

26. Surely, in this is a lesson for anyone who fears Allah.

27. Are you harder to create, or the sky He built?

28. He raised it high and shaped it perfectly.

29. He darkened its night, and brought out its bright morning.

30. And after that, He spread out the earth.

31. Bringing from it water and plants.

32. And firmly setting the mountains.

33. All as a blessing for you and your animals.

34. Then, when the great overwhelming disaster comes.

35. On that Day, each human will remember clearly what they worked for.

36. And Hellfire will be shown plainly for all to see.

37. As for those who crossed all limits.

38. And chose this worldly life.

39. Hellfire will surely be their home.

40. But as for those who feared standing before their Lord, and held back their souls from selfish desires.

41. Paradise will surely be their home.

42. They ask you about the Hour, "When will it happen?"

43. But how could you know its exact time?

44. Only your Lord knows when it will come.

45. You are simply a warner for those who fear it.

46. On the Day they finally see it, it will feel as if they'd stayed in this world only an evening, or a single morning.
