In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. What are they asking each other about?

2. About the great news.

3. The great news they disagree about.

4. Soon they will know.

5. Again, soon they will know.

6. Didn't We make the earth a resting place.

7. And the mountains like pegs?

8. And We created you in pairs.

9. And made your sleep restful.

10. And made the night like a covering.

11. And made the day a time to earn a living.

12. And above you, We built seven strong heavens.

13. And placed a brightly blazing lamp.

14. And from the rain-filled clouds, We sent down pouring water.

15. To bring out grains and plants.

16. And lush gardens thick with trees.

17. Surely, the Day of Decision is already set.

18. The day the trumpet is blown, and you'll come in crowds.

19. And the sky will open up, becoming like gates.

20. And mountains will be moved, becoming like a mirage.

21. Truly, Hellfire waits in ambush.

22. A home for those who crossed all limits.

23. Staying there for ages and ages.

24. There, they'll taste no coolness, and no drink.

25. Except boiling water and bitter cold liquid.

26. A fair reward for what they've done.

27. They never expected to be judged.

28. And completely denied Our verses.

29. But We recorded everything in writing.

30. So taste this punishment — we'll only increase it for you.

31. But for those who were mindful of Allah, there's true success.

32. Gardens and grapevines.

33. And companions of equal age.

34. And cups filled to the brim.

35. There, they'll hear no useless talk, and no lies.

36. A generous reward from your Lord, a gift perfectly measured.

37. From the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them — the Most Merciful. No one will dare to speak to Him.

38. On the day when the Spirit and the angels stand in rows, no one will speak, except those the Most Merciful allows, and who speak the truth.

39. That day is sure to come — so whoever wants, let them take the path back to their Lord.

40. We've warned you of a punishment very near — the day when each person sees clearly what their own hands have done, and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish I were dust!"
