In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. By the winds sent gently.

2. And those blowing fiercely.

3. And those spreading clouds widely.

4. And those clearly separating truth from falsehood.

5. And those who deliver reminders.

6. To give excuses or warnings.

7. What you've been promised will surely happen.

8. When the stars lose their light.

9. And the sky splits open.

10. And the mountains crumble away.

11. And the messengers are gathered at their appointed time.

12. For what day has all this been delayed?

13. For the Day of Separation.

14. And what can tell you what the Day of Separation is?

15. Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.

16. Didn't We destroy those who lived before?

17. Then We followed them with later generations.

18. That's how We deal with those who do wrong.

19. Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.

20. Didn't We create you from a humble drop of water?

21. Then We placed it in a safe resting place.

22. For a set amount of time.

23. We decided it all — how perfectly We decide!

24. Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.

25. Didn't We make the earth a gathering place?

26. For the living and the dead.

27. And We placed firm, tall mountains on it, and gave you sweet, fresh water to drink.

28. Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.

29. Go now to what you used to deny!

30. Go now into a shadow split into three parts.

31. Giving no shade, and no protection from the flames.

32. It throws sparks as huge as castles.

33. Like giant yellow camels.

34. Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.

35. This is the day they won't speak.

36. Nor will they be allowed to make excuses.

37. Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.

38. This is the Day of Separation — we've gathered you and all who lived before.

39. If you have a plan, then try it against Me now!

40. Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.

41. Those who were mindful of Allah will rest in cool shade, near flowing springs.

42. And enjoy fruits they love.

43. They'll be told, "Eat and drink happily, because of the good you used to do."

44. That's how We reward those who do good.

45. Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.

46. Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little while — you've done wrong.

47. Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.

48. When they're told, "Bow down," they don't bow down.

49. Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.

50. After this message, what else will they believe in?
