In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. I swear by the Day of Judgment.

2. And I swear by the soul that blames itself.

3. Does the human being think We can't gather his bones back together?

4. Yes, We can even reshape his fingertips perfectly.

5. But people want to keep doing wrong, even in the future.

6. They ask, "When is this Day of Judgment?"

7. When eyes stare in shock.

8. And the moon darkens.

9. And the sun and moon are brought together.

10. On that day, people will cry out, "Where can we run?"

11. No! There is nowhere safe to hide.

12. On that day, the only place to go, is back to your Lord.

13. On that day, each person will be told clearly what they did, and what they left undone.

14. In fact, people know themselves very well.

15. Even if they come up with excuses.

16. Don't move your tongue with it, trying to rush through it.

17. It's Our responsibility to gather it, and to recite it clearly.

18. So when We recite it, follow its recitation carefully.

19. Then it's Our responsibility to explain it clearly.

20. But no — you love this quick, temporary life.

21. And you ignore the life to come.

22. On that day, some faces will shine brightly.

23. Looking toward their Lord.

24. And on that day, some faces will be gloomy and sad.

25. Expecting something terrible to happen to them.

26. No! When the soul reaches the throat.

27. And people desperately ask, "Who can save him now?"

28. And the dying person realizes, it's time to leave this world.

29. And one leg twists around the other.

30. On that day, the journey is back to your Lord.

31. Yet he never believed, and he never prayed.

32. Instead, he rejected the truth, and turned away.

33. Then he walked proudly back to his family, showing off.

34. Shame on you — yes, shame on you!

35. Again, shame on you — yes, shame on you!

36. Does the human being think he'll be left alone, without purpose?

37. Wasn't he once just a tiny drop of fluid?

38. Then he became a clot, and He shaped and formed him perfectly.

39. And made from him pairs — male and female.

40. Isn't the One Who did all this, able to bring the dead back to life?
