In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.
1. O you wrapped up in your cloak.
2. Stand up and warn people.
3. Declare your Lord's greatness.
4. Keep your clothes clean.
5. Stay away from all impurity.
6. Don't give favors expecting more in return.
7. And be patient for your Lord.
8. When the trumpet is sounded.
9. That Day will be a hard day.
10. Especially tough for those who disbelieve.
11. Leave Me alone with the one I created by Myself.
12. And gave him great wealth.
13. And children always by his side.
14. And made life easy and comfortable for him.
15. Yet he still hopes I'll give him even more.
16. No way! He stubbornly rejected Our verses.
17. Soon I'll make him face a painful climb.
18. He thought deeply and planned carefully.
19. May he be ruined, for how he planned!
20. Again, may he be ruined, for how he planned!
21. Then he looked around.
22. Then frowned and scowled.
23. Then turned away proudly.
24. And said, "This is nothing but old magic.
25. This is just human talk."
26. Soon I'll throw him into Saqar.
27. And what can make you understand what Saqar is?
28. It doesn't leave anything behind, nor does it spare anyone.
29. It burns and darkens people's skin.
30. Over it are nineteen angels.
31. We made the guardians of the Fire angels, and We made their number only as a test for those who disbelieve — so that those given the Scripture become certain, and the believers grow stronger in faith, and neither the believers nor those given the Scripture have any doubts. But those with sickness in their hearts and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah mean by this example?" This is how Allah lets whoever He wills go astray, and guides whoever He wills. No one knows your Lord's forces except Him. And this is just a reminder for people.
32. No! I swear by the moon.
33. And by the night when it departs.
34. And by the morning when it shines.
35. It is one of the greatest.
36. A warning for all people.
37. For whoever among you wishes to move forward, or stay behind.
38. Every soul is held responsible for what it has done.
39. Except the people of the right.
40. They'll be in beautiful gardens, asking each other.
41. About those who did wrong.
42. "What brought you into Saqar?"
43. They'll say, "We weren't among those who prayed.
44. And we didn't feed the poor.
45. And we used to waste time with those who wasted their lives.
46. And we used to deny the Day of Judgment.
47. Until death finally came to us."
48. Now, no one's intercession can help them.
49. So why do they turn away from this reminder?
50. Like frightened donkeys.
51. Running away from a lion.
52. In fact, each one of them wants to receive his own special pages.
53. No! The truth is, they're not afraid of the Hereafter.
54. Surely, this Quran is a reminder.
55. So whoever wishes, can remember it.
56. But no one will remember, unless Allah wills. He alone deserves to be feared, and He alone forgives.
