In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. We sent Noah to his people, saying, "Warn your people before a painful punishment comes to them."

2. He said, "My people, I am clearly here to warn you.

3. Worship Allah, respect Him, and obey me.

4. He will forgive your sins, and give you more time until a set day. But when Allah's day comes, it can't be delayed — if only you knew."

5. Noah said, "My Lord, I called my people night and day.

6. But my calling only made them run further away.

7. Every time I called them, so You could forgive them, they stuck their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their clothes, refused stubbornly, and acted very proudly.

8. Then I called them openly.

9. I spoke to them loudly, and also talked to them quietly, in private.

10. I said, 'Ask your Lord to forgive you — He is always ready to forgive.

11. He will send down plenty of rain from the sky for you.

12. Give you more wealth and children, and provide you with gardens and rivers.

13. Why don't you show respect and honor to Allah.

14. When He created you in stages?

15. Don't you see how Allah created seven heavens, one above the other.

16. And placed the moon among them as a gentle light, and the sun as a shining lamp?

17. Allah made you grow from the earth like plants.

18. Then He will return you into it, and later bring you out again.

19. Allah made the earth spread out for you.

20. So you can travel along its wide paths.'"

21. Noah said, "My Lord, they disobeyed me, and they followed those whose wealth and children only increased their loss.

22. They made a huge, terrible plan.

23. And said, 'Never leave your gods — never leave Wadd, Suwa, Yaghuth, Ya'uq, and Nasr.'

24. They have misled many people — so don't let these wrongdoers become anything but more lost."

25. Because of their sins, they were drowned, and sent into the Fire — they found no one besides Allah to help them.

26. Noah said, "My Lord, don't leave even one disbeliever living on the earth.

27. If You leave them, they will mislead Your servants, and only give birth to sinful disbelievers.

28. My Lord, forgive me, my parents, everyone who enters my home as a believer, and all believing men and women — and don't let the wrongdoers become anything but completely ruined."
