In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.
1. Noon. By the pen and what they write!
2. By your Lord's favor, you are not insane.
3. And truly, you will have a reward that never ends.
4. And you have a great character.
5. Soon you will see, and they will see.
6. Which of you has lost his mind.
7. Your Lord knows best who has wandered from His path, and He knows best who is guided.
8. So don't listen to those who deny the truth.
9. They wish you'd compromise, so they'd compromise too.
10. And don't listen to every worthless person who is always swearing oaths.
11. Who mocks others, spreads gossip.
12. Stops people from doing good, crosses all limits, and sins openly.
13. Cruel, and on top of that, with a questionable background.
14. Just because he has money and children.
15. When Our verses are read to him, he says, "These are just old stories."
16. We will mark him clearly on his nose.
17. We tested them, just like We tested the owners of the garden, who swore they'd pick all its fruits early in the morning.
18. Without saying, "If Allah wills."
19. So while they slept, a disaster from your Lord swept through their garden.
20. And by morning, it was burned and ruined.
21. At dawn, they called out to each other.
22. "Hurry! Let's go early to pick our fruit, if we're serious about it."
23. So they went off quietly, whispering to each other.
24. "Make sure no poor person enters the garden today."
25. They set out early, determined and confident.
26. But when they saw it, they cried, "We're lost!
27. No — we've lost everything!"
28. The most moderate among them said, "Why did you not praise?"
29. They said, "Glory to our Lord! We were truly wrong."
30. Then they turned to each other, blaming one another.
31. They said, "How terrible for us! We crossed the line.
32. Maybe our Lord will give us something better instead — we truly turn to our Lord with hope."
33. That's how punishment comes — and the punishment in the Hereafter is even greater, if only they knew.
34. For those who are mindful of Allah, there are beautiful gardens of joy with their Lord.
35. Should We treat those who submit to Allah, the same as those who do wrong?
36. What's wrong with you? How do you judge?
37. Or do you have a book you study.
38. That says you'll get whatever you choose?
39. Or do you have promises from Us, binding until the Day of Judgment, that you'll get whatever you decide?
40. Ask them — which of them guarantees this?
41. Or do they have partners besides Allah? Let them bring their partners, if they're truthful.
42. On the Day when things become very serious, they'll be called to bow down — but they won't be able to.
43. Their eyes will be lowered, shame covering them. They used to be called to bow down when they were healthy and strong.
44. So leave Me to deal with those who deny this message. We'll gradually lead them to their punishment from places they don't realize.
45. I'll give them time — My plan is firm.
46. Or do you ask them for payment, so they're burdened by debt?
47. Or do they know the unseen, writing it down themselves?
48. So wait patiently for your Lord's decision, and don't be like the man swallowed by the whale, who cried out in distress.
49. If his Lord's kindness hadn't reached him, he would've been left alone on the empty shore, blamed and rejected.
50. But his Lord chose him, and made him one of the righteous.
51. Those who reject the truth almost knock you down with their hateful stares when they hear the message, and they say, "He's crazy!"
52. But it's nothing less than a reminder for all people.
