In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. Blessed is He Who holds all control in His Hand, and He has power over everything.

2. He created death and life to test you — which of you will do the best deeds. And He is the Mighty, the Forgiving.

3. He created seven heavens, one above the other. You won't see any flaw in what the Most Merciful created. Look again — do you see any cracks?

4. Then look again, once more. Your eyes will come back tired and worn out.

5. We decorated the nearest heaven with shining stars, and made them shooting flames against devils. And We have prepared for them the punishment of blazing fire.

6. For those who reject their Lord, there is the punishment of Hell — and what a terrible place to end up!

7. When they're thrown into it, they'll hear it roaring loudly as it boils over.

8. Almost bursting with anger. Every time a group is thrown in, its guards will ask them, "Didn't someone warn you?"

9. They'll say, "Yes, someone did warn us, but we rejected him, and said, 'Allah hasn't sent down anything. You're completely lost!'"

10. And they'll say, "If only we had listened or thought carefully, we wouldn't be among those in this blazing fire."

11. So they'll admit their mistakes — so away with the people of the blazing Fire.

12. Those who respect and fear their Lord, even when no one sees them — they'll have forgiveness and a great reward.

13. Whether you speak secretly or openly, He knows exactly what's in your hearts.

14. Doesn't He Who created everything know best? He is the Most Gentle, the All-Aware.

15. He made the earth easy for you to live on, so walk through its paths, and eat from what He provides. And to Him, you'll all return.

16. Do you feel safe from the One in Heaven, that He won't make the earth swallow you up? Then suddenly, it would shake violently!

17. Or do you feel safe from the One in Heaven, that He won't send down a storm of stones on you? Soon you'll understand how serious My warning is!

18. Those before them rejected the truth too — just see how terrible My response was!

19. Haven't they looked at the birds above them, spreading and folding their wings? Only the Most Merciful holds them up — He sees everything clearly.

20. Who is this army of yours that can help you against the Most Merciful? The disbelievers are only fooling themselves.

21. Who will provide for you if He holds back His provision? Yet they stubbornly continue in pride and rejection.

22. Is someone who walks stumbling face-down better guided, or someone who walks straight on a straight path?

23. Say, "He is the One Who created you, giving you hearing, sight, and hearts — but you hardly ever give thanks."

24. Say, "He is the One Who spread you across the earth, and to Him you'll be gathered back."

25. Still they ask, "When will this promise come true, if you're telling the truth?"

26. Say, "Only Allah knows that — I am simply here to clearly warn you."

27. When they finally see it coming close, the faces of the disbelievers will turn miserable, and they'll be told, "This is what you kept asking for!"

28. Say, "Think about this: whether Allah destroys me and those with me, or shows us mercy — who will protect the disbelievers from a painful punishment?"

29. Say, "He is the Most Merciful — we believe in Him, and We trust Him completely. Soon you'll know clearly who's really lost."

30. Say, "Think about this: if your water suddenly disappeared underground, who else could bring you fresh, flowing water?"
