In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. Praise belongs to Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made darkness and light — yet those who disbelieve set up equals to their Lord.

2. He is the One Who created you from clay, then decided a lifespan for you, and another fixed time known only to Him — yet you still doubt.

3. He is Allah in the heavens and on the earth. He knows your secrets and what you say openly, and He knows everything you do.

4. Whenever a sign from their Lord comes to them, they turn away from it.

5. They rejected the truth when it came to them — but soon they will see the consequences of what they laughed at.

6. Haven't they seen how many generations We destroyed before them? We had given those people power on the earth far greater than yours. We sent down abundant rain from the sky for them, and made rivers flow beneath them. But We destroyed them because of their sins, and after them We raised up new generations.

7. Even if We had sent down to you a book written on paper, and they touched it with their own hands, the disbelievers would still say, "This is nothing but clear magic!"

8. They say, "Why wasn't an angel sent down to him?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been settled immediately, and they would have been given no more time.

9. And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him appear as a human — and they would have become confused, just as they are now.

10. Messengers before you were laughed at too, but in the end, those who mocked them were surrounded by the very punishment they used to make fun of.

11. Say, "Travel through the land, then see what happened to those who rejected the truth."

12. Say, "Who owns everything in the heavens and the earth?" Say, "It all belongs to Allah. He has made His mercy His rule. He will surely gather you all on the Day of Judgment — there's no doubt about it. Those who've lost themselves won't believe."

13. Everything that rests in the night and the day belongs to Him. He hears everything and knows everything.

14. Say, "Should I choose anyone other than Allah as my protector? He's the Originator of the heavens and the earth. He feeds, and is not fed." Say, "I've been commanded to be the first to surrender to Him — and never be among those who worship others beside Him."

15. Say, "I'm afraid that if I disobey my Lord, I'll face punishment on a mighty Day."

16. Whoever is saved from punishment on that Day has truly received Allah's mercy — and that's the clearest victory.

17. If Allah touches you with harm, no one can remove it except Him. And if He touches you with good, He has power over everything.

18. He is the Supreme Master over His servants, and He is the Wise, the All-Aware.

19. Say, "Whose testimony matters most?" Say, "Allah's testimony. He is the witness between you and me. This Quran has been revealed to me, so I can warn you — and everyone it reaches. Do you really testify that there are other gods beside Allah?" Say, "I don't testify to that." Say, "He is only One God, and I have nothing to do with whatever you worship beside Him."

20. Those who were given the Scripture recognize this truth as clearly as they recognize their own children. But those who've lost themselves won't believe.

21. Who could be more unfair than someone who lies about Allah or rejects His verses? Truly, those who do wrong will never succeed.

22. On the Day We gather them all together, We'll say to those who worshiped others beside Allah, "Where are those partners you used to claim?"

23. Then they'll have no excuse except to say, "By Allah, our Lord, we never worshiped others beside Him!"

24. See how they lie to themselves — and how the false gods they invented have abandoned them!

25. Some of them listen to you, but We have placed covers over their hearts, so they don't understand it, and heaviness in their ears. Even if they see every sign, they won't believe in it. When they come to argue with you, the disbelievers say, "These are just old stories."

26. They keep others away from it, and they stay away from it themselves — but they're only hurting themselves, and they don't realize it.

27. If only you could see them standing before the Fire, saying, "We wish we could go back! Then we wouldn't deny the verses of our Lord, and we'd be true believers!"

28. But now the truth they used to hide has become clear to them. Even if they were sent back, they'd return to the same things they were forbidden from — they're truly lying.

29. They used to say, "There's nothing beyond this life, and we won't be brought back to life."

30. If only you could see them standing before their Lord. He will say, "Isn't this the truth?" They'll say, "Yes, by our Lord!" He will say, "Then taste the punishment for your disbelief."

31. Those who denied meeting Allah have truly lost. When the Hour suddenly comes upon them, they'll cry out, "How sorry we are for ignoring this!" They'll carry their burdens on their backs — how terrible those burdens will be!

32. This worldly life is nothing but play and distraction. The home in the Hereafter is far better for those who are mindful of Allah. Don't you understand?

33. We know that what they say makes you sad. But they're not calling you a liar — they're actually rejecting Allah's verses.

34. Messengers before you were also called liars, but they patiently endured rejection and harm until Our help came to them. No one can change Allah's words. You've already heard some of the stories of those messengers.

35. If their turning away is hard for you, then if you can, find a tunnel into the earth or a ladder up to the sky to bring them a sign. If Allah had wanted, He could have guided them all. So don't be among those who don't understand.

36. Only those who truly listen will respond. As for the dead, Allah will raise them up, and then they'll return to Him.

37. They say, "Why hasn't a miracle come down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Allah certainly has the power to send down a miracle, but most of them don't understand."

38. Every creature on earth and every bird flying with its wings is part of communities just like yours. We haven't left anything out of the Book. Then, they'll all be gathered back to their Lord.

39. Those who deny Our verses are deaf and mute, lost in darkness. Allah lets whoever He wills lose their way, and He guides whoever He wills onto a straight path.

40. Say, "Think carefully — if Allah's punishment came to you, or the Hour suddenly arrived, would you call on anyone other than Allah, if you're truthful?"

41. No — you'd call only Him. Then, if He wished, He'd remove the trouble you called Him about, and you'd forget the partners you set up beside Him.

42. We sent messengers to communities before you, and We tested them with hardship and suffering, so they may humble themselves.

43. If only they'd humbled themselves when Our punishment came! But their hearts became hard, and Satan made their actions seem good to them.

44. So when they forgot the warnings they'd been given, We opened the doors to everything for them. Then, just as they were happily enjoying what they'd received, We suddenly took hold of them, and they fell into deep despair.

45. So the wrongdoers were completely wiped out. Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.

46. Say, "Think about this — if Allah took away your hearing and your sight, and sealed your hearts, who other than Allah could give them back to you?" See how clearly We explain Our verses, yet they still turn away.

47. Say, "Tell me — if Allah's punishment came upon you suddenly or openly, would anyone but the unjust people be destroyed?"

48. We send messengers only to bring good news and to warn. So whoever believes and does good will have no fear, nor will they be sad.

49. But those who reject Our verses will suffer punishment, because of the wrong they used to do.

50. Say, "I don't tell you that I have Allah's treasures, nor that I know the unseen, nor do I say to you that I'm an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Are the blind and the seeing equal? Won't you think about it?"

51. And warn with this Quran those who fear being gathered before their Lord — they'll have no protector or helper besides Him — so they may become mindful.

52. Don't send away those who pray to their Lord morning and evening, seeking His face. You're not responsible for their deeds, and they're not responsible for yours. If you send them away, you'll be among those who do wrong.

53. This is how We test some people through others, so they say, "Are these the ones Allah has favored among us?" Doesn't Allah know best who is truly thankful?

54. When those who believe in Our verses come to you, say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has promised Himself to be merciful — if any of you does wrong out of ignorance, then repents afterward and makes things right, He is truly forgiving and merciful."

55. This is how We clearly explain Our verses, so that the path of the criminals becomes clear.

56. Say, "I've been forbidden to worship those you call upon besides Allah." Say, "I won't follow your desires, because if I did, I'd lose my way and wouldn't be among those guided."

57. Say, "I'm following clear proof from my Lord, yet you reject it. What you're rushing to see isn't in my power. Judgment belongs only to Allah. He tells the truth, and He's the best judge."

58. Say, "If what you're rushing to see were in my power, the matter between you and me would already be settled. Allah knows best who does wrong."

59. He holds the keys to the unseen — no one knows them except Him. He knows everything on land and sea. Not even a leaf falls without His knowledge, nor a single grain hidden deep in the earth, nor anything fresh or dry, except that it's clearly recorded in a book.

60. He is the One Who takes your souls at night and knows everything you've done during the day. Then He wakes you up again, until your set time arrives. After that, you'll return to Him, and He'll show you clearly everything you used to do.

61. He is the Supreme Power over His servants. He sends angels to watch over you, until death comes to one of you — then Our angels take that person's soul, and they never fail in their duty.

62. Then everyone returns to Allah, their true Master. Remember, all judgment belongs to Him, and He is the swiftest in taking account.

63. Say, "Who saves you from dangers on land and sea, when you call on Him openly and secretly, saying, 'If He saves us from this, we'll definitely be thankful'?"

64. Say, "Allah saves you from this and from every trouble, yet afterward, you still worship others besides Him."

65. Say, "He has the power to send punishment upon you from above or beneath your feet, or to divide you into groups and make you taste each other's violence." See how clearly We explain Our verses, so they might understand.

66. Your people rejected this, even though it is the truth. Say, "I'm not a guardian over you."

67. Every message has its set time, and soon you'll know.

68. When you see people mocking Our verses, turn away from them until they talk about something else. And if Satan makes you forget, then as soon as you remember, don't sit with those who do wrong.

69. Those who are mindful of Allah aren't responsible for the wrongdoers' actions at all. Their duty is only to remind them, so perhaps they'll become mindful too.

70. Leave alone those who treat their religion as a game and amusement, and who've been fooled by this worldly life. But remind with the Quran, lest a soul be ruined for what it has earned. Such a soul will have no protector or helper besides Allah. Even if it offers every possible payment, it won't be accepted. Those are the ones who've ruined themselves by their own actions. They'll have boiling water to drink and a painful punishment, because they refused to believe.

71. Say, "Should we call on something other than Allah — something that can't help or harm us — and turn back after Allah has guided us? Should we become like someone lost on earth, confused, led astray by devils, while his friends call out to him, 'Come to us, this is the right way!'?" Say, "Allah's guidance is the only true guidance, and we've been told to surrender ourselves to the Lord of all creation."

72. And we've been told, "Pray regularly and be mindful of Him — He is the One you'll all be gathered back to."

73. He is the One Who created the heavens and the earth with truth. On the Day He says, "Be," it will be. His word is the truth. All authority belongs to Him on the Day the trumpet is blown. He knows everything hidden and everything open. He is the Wise, the Fully Aware.

74. Remember when Abraham said to his father Azar, "Do you really take idols as gods? I see clearly that you and your people are lost."

75. And this is how We showed Abraham the wonders of the heavens and the earth, so he could become one of those who are certain.

76. When night covered him, he saw a star and said, "This is my Lord." But when it set, he said, "I don't love things that disappear."

77. Then, when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my Lord." But when it set, he said, "If my Lord doesn't guide me, I'll definitely be one of those who lose their way."

78. Then, when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my Lord — this is even bigger!" But when it set, he said, "My people, I have nothing to do with the things you worship besides Allah."

79. "I have turned my face completely toward the One Who created the heavens and the earth, sincerely devoted to Him alone, and I'm not one of those who worship others besides Him."

80. His people argued with him, but he said, "Are you arguing with me about Allah, when He has already guided me? I'm not afraid of whatever you worship alongside Him, unless my Lord wills something else. My Lord knows everything — don't you remember?"

81. "How could I fear the things you worship alongside Allah, when you don't fear worshiping things without any proof given to you by Allah? So which side deserves to feel safe, if you really know?"

82. Those who believe and don't mix their faith with wrongdoing — they are the ones who will have safety, and they're the ones truly guided.

83. That was Our proof, which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise in rank whoever We choose. Your Lord is Wise, Knowing.

84. We gave him Isaac and Jacob — each of them We guided. And before them, We guided Noah. And from his descendants, We guided David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron. This is how We reward those who do good.

85. And Zachariah, John, Jesus, and Elias — each one was among the righteous.

86. And Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot — We favored each of them above all people.

87. And from their fathers, their descendants, and their brothers — We chose them and guided them to a straight path.

88. This is Allah's guidance. With it, He guides whoever He chooses among His servants. If they had worshiped others besides Him, all their good deeds would have been wasted.

89. Those were the ones We gave the Scripture, wisdom, and prophethood. Even if these people reject it, We have already entrusted it to others who will not reject it.

90. Those were the ones Allah guided — so follow their guidance. Say, "I don't ask you for any reward for this. It is simply a reminder for all people."

91. They didn't honor Allah as He deserves when they said, "Allah didn't send down anything to any human being." Say, "Who sent down the Scripture that Moses brought as a light and guidance for people? You write it on separate pages, showing some of it but hiding much. You were taught things neither you nor your fathers ever knew." Say, "Allah." Then leave them to amuse themselves with their empty talk.

92. And this is a blessed Book We have sent down, confirming what came before it, so you may warn the Mother of Cities and everyone around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they carefully guard their prayers.

93. Who could be more unjust than someone who makes up lies about Allah, or says, "Revelation has come to me," when nothing was revealed to him, or who says, "I will send down something like what Allah sent down"? If only you could see these wrongdoers at the moment of death, when the angels stretch out their hands, saying, "Give up your souls! Today you'll be rewarded with humiliating punishment because you said things about Allah that weren't true, and because you arrogantly rejected His verses."

94. Now you've come back to Us all alone, just as We created you the first time, leaving behind everything We gave you. We don't see with you those intercessors you claimed were Allah's partners. All your bonds have been broken, and everything you once believed has vanished away.

95. Allah is the One Who splits open seeds and fruit-stones, bringing life from death and death from life. That is Allah — so how can you turn away?

96. He splits open the dawn, and He made the night for rest, and the sun and moon for measuring time. This is the perfect plan of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.

97. He is the One Who placed the stars for you, so you can find your way through the darkness on land and sea. We have clearly explained these signs for people who understand.

98. He is the One Who created you all from a single soul, then gave you a place to stay and a place to rest. We have clearly explained these signs for people who think deeply.

99. He is the One Who sends down rain from the sky. With it, We bring out plants of every kind. From these plants, We grow fresh greenery, and from that greenery, We produce grains stacked closely together. From palm trees come clusters of dates hanging low, and gardens of grapes, olives, and pomegranates — some fruits look alike, others different. Look carefully at their fruits when they grow and ripen. Truly, in all this are clear signs for people who believe.

100. Yet some people made the jinn partners with Allah, even though He created them. And without knowledge, they wrongly invented sons and daughters for Him. Glory to Him! He is far above what they describe.

101. He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a child when He has no wife? He created everything, and He knows everything completely.

102. That is Allah, your Lord. There is no god except Him. He created everything, so worship Him alone. He takes care of everything.

103. Eyes cannot see Him, but He sees all eyes. He is the Most Gentle, the Fully Aware.

104. Clear insights have come to you from your Lord. Whoever chooses to see clearly, it benefits their own soul, and whoever chooses blindness, it harms only themselves. I am not your keeper.

105. This is how We explain Our signs in different ways, so some may say, "You studied this," and so We can make it clear for people who truly understand.

106. Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord — there is no god except Him — and turn away from those who worship others beside Him.

107. If Allah had wanted, they wouldn't have worshiped others beside Him. We haven't made you responsible for them, nor are you their guardian.

108. Don't insult those they pray to instead of Allah, or else they'll insult Allah out of hostility, without understanding. In this way, We've made every people's actions seem good to them. But in the end, they'll return to their Lord, and He'll tell them clearly what they used to do.

109. They swear by Allah with their strongest promises, that if a miracle came to them, they'd definitely believe in it. Say, "Miracles come only from Allah." But how do you know they'd believe even if miracles did come?

110. We'll turn away their hearts and eyes, just as they refused to believe in it the first time, and We'll leave them wandering blindly in their stubbornness.

111. Even if We sent angels down to them, or the dead spoke to them, or We gathered everything right in front of them, they still wouldn't believe unless Allah wanted it. But most of them don't understand.

112. In the same way, We made enemies for every prophet — evil ones among humans and spirits — who secretly suggest fancy words to each other to deceive people. If your Lord had wanted, they wouldn't have done it. So leave them alone with the lies they invent.

113. So that the hearts of those who don't believe in the Hereafter listen to those lies, accept them, and keep doing whatever wrong they're doing.

114. Should I look for a judge other than Allah, when He's the One Who sent down the Book to you, clearly explained? Those who received the Scripture before know it's truly revealed from your Lord — so don't be among those who doubt.

115. Your Lord's Word is complete in truth and justice. No one can change His Words, and He hears and knows everything.

116. If you follow most people on earth, they'll lead you away from Allah's path. They follow nothing but guesses, and they're only making things up.

117. Your Lord knows best who strays from His path, and He knows best who follows the right way.

118. So eat from what Allah's name has been mentioned over, if you truly believe in His verses.

119. Why shouldn't you eat from what Allah's name has been mentioned over, when He has clearly explained to you what's forbidden to you — except when you're forced by necessity? Many people mislead others by following their own desires without knowledge. Your Lord knows best who crosses the limits.

120. Leave behind all sins — those you commit openly and those you hide inside yourselves. Those who earn sin will surely be repaid for what they've done.

121. Don't eat anything that hasn't had Allah's name mentioned over it — that would be sinful. The devils whisper to their friends, urging them to argue with you. If you listen to them, you'll become idol-worshipers.

122. Is someone who was dead, then We gave him life and a light to walk with among people, like someone trapped in deep darkness, unable to escape from it? That's how the disbelievers see their actions as beautiful.

123. And that's how We placed in every town its worst criminals, so they could plot there — but they're only plotting against themselves, though they don't realize it.

124. When a sign from Allah comes to them, they say, "We won't believe until we're given the same as Allah's messengers were given." Allah knows best who deserves His message. Those who commit crimes will face humiliation before Allah, and severe punishment for their plotting.

125. Whoever Allah wants to guide, He opens their heart to Islam. But whoever He allows to go astray, He makes their heart tight and constricted — as if they're climbing high into the sky. That's how Allah places impurity upon those who don't believe.

126. This is your Lord's straight path. We've clearly explained the verses for people who remember.

127. They'll have the Home of Peace with their Lord, and He will be their protector because of what they've done.

128. On the day He gathers them all together, He'll say, "O community of jinn, you've misled many humans." Their human friends will say, "Our Lord, we enjoyed each other's company, and now we've reached the time You set for us." He'll say, "The Fire is your home, where you'll stay forever, except as Allah wills. Your Lord is truly wise, all-knowing."

129. And that's how We make some wrongdoers friends with others, because of what they've earned.

130. "O community of jinn and humans, didn't messengers come to you from among you, telling you My verses and warning you about meeting this day?" They'll say, "We admit against ourselves." This worldly life deceived them, and they'll testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.

131. That's because your Lord would never unfairly destroy towns whose people weren't warned.

132. Everyone will have ranks according to what they've done, and your Lord isn't unaware of what they do.

133. Your Lord is rich beyond need, full of mercy. If He wishes, He can remove you and replace you with whoever He wants, just as He created you from the descendants of other people.

134. What you're promised will definitely come, and you can't escape it.

135. Say, "My people, do whatever you can — I'm doing my part too. Soon you'll know who will have the best outcome in the end. Truly, wrongdoers will never succeed."

136. They set aside for Allah a share of the crops and animals He created, saying, "This is for Allah," as they claim, "and this is for our partners." But what was meant for their partners never reaches Allah, while what was meant for Allah always reaches their partners. How terribly they judge!

137. In the same way, their partners made killing their children seem good to many idol-worshipers, leading them to ruin and confusing them about their religion. If Allah had wanted, they wouldn't have done it — so leave them alone with the lies they invent.

138. They also say, "These animals and crops are forbidden — only those we allow can eat them," according to their own claims. And there are animals whose backs they forbid riding, and animals over which they don't mention Allah's name — making up lies about Him. He will surely repay them for the lies they invent.

139. And they say, "Whatever is in the bellies of these animals is only for our males, and forbidden for our wives. But if it's born dead, they all share it." Allah will surely punish them for these false rules they invent. He is truly Wise and All-Knowing.

140. Those who foolishly killed their children without knowledge, and who wrongly forbid what Allah provided for them by making up lies about Allah — they have truly lost. They have gone far astray and were never guided.

141. He is the One Who created gardens — some supported by trellises and others not — and palm trees, crops of different kinds, olives, and pomegranates, similar yet different. Eat their fruit when they ripen, and give what is due on harvest day. But don't waste — He certainly doesn't love those who waste.

142. And among the animals, some carry loads and others are for food. Eat from what Allah has provided you, and don't follow Satan's footsteps. He is clearly your enemy.

143. There are eight animals in pairs: two sheep and two goats. Ask them, "Did He forbid the two males, the two females, or what is in the wombs of the two females? Tell me clearly, if you're telling the truth."

144. And two camels and two cows. Ask them, "Did He forbid the two males, the two females, or what is in the wombs of the two females? Or were you there when Allah commanded this?" Who could be more unjust than someone who invents lies about Allah to mislead people without knowledge? Allah certainly doesn't guide unjust people.

145. Say, "In what was revealed to me, I find nothing forbidden for anyone to eat except dead animals, flowing blood, pork — for it is impure — or sinful meat offered in the name of someone other than Allah. But whoever is forced by necessity — not wanting it nor going beyond limits — then your Lord is truly Forgiving and Merciful."

146. To those who followed Judaism, We made forbidden every animal with undivided hooves. And from cows and sheep, We forbade them their fat, except what is attached to their backs, or their insides, or mixed with bones. This was their punishment for their wrongdoing — and We are truly truthful.

147. If they call you a liar, then say, "Your Lord has great mercy, but His punishment cannot be turned away from guilty people."

148. Those who worship others besides Allah will say, "If Allah had wanted, neither we nor our parents would have worshiped others, nor would we have forbidden anything." Those before them said the same lies, until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any real knowledge? If so, bring it out for us. You follow nothing but guesses, and you only make things up."

149. Say, "Allah has the strongest proof. If He wanted, He would have guided you all."

150. Say, "Bring your witnesses who can testify that Allah has forbidden this." If they testify, don't testify with them. And don't follow the wishes of those who deny Our verses, who don't believe in the Hereafter, and who set up equals with their Lord.

151. Say, "Come, let me tell you clearly what your Lord has forbidden you: Don't worship anything besides Him. Be kind and respectful to your parents. Don't kill your children because you're afraid of poverty — We provide for you and for them. Stay away from shameful acts, whether they're done openly or secretly. Don't take a life that Allah has made sacred, unless it's for justice. This is what He commands you, so you may understand."

152. "Don't go near an orphan's property, except to handle it in the best way, until they grow up. Always measure and weigh things fairly — We never ask anyone to do more than they can handle. When you speak, be fair, even if it's about someone close to you. Keep your promises to Allah. This is what He commands you, so you may remember."

153. "This is My straight path, so follow it. Don't follow other paths, or they'll lead you away from His path. This is what He commands you, so you may protect yourselves."

154. Then We gave Moses the Scripture, completing Our favor on those who do good, clearly explaining everything, and as guidance and mercy, so they might believe in meeting their Lord.

155. And this Book that We sent down is blessed — so follow it and be mindful of Allah, so you may receive His mercy.

156. Now you can't say, "The Scripture was only sent down to two groups before us, and we didn't know what they studied."

157. And you can't say, "If only the Scripture had come down to us, we would have been better guided than they were." A clear proof has now come to you from your Lord, as guidance and mercy. Who could be more wrong than someone who rejects Allah's verses and turns away from them? We'll give those who turn away from Our verses a painful punishment, because they kept turning away.

158. Are they waiting for angels to appear, or for your Lord Himself to come, or for some of your Lord's signs to arrive? On the day when some of your Lord's signs appear, believing won't help anyone who didn't already believe before, or who didn't do good through their faith. Say, "Wait then — we're waiting too."

159. Those who divided their religion and broke into different groups — you have nothing to do with them. Their case rests with Allah alone, and He will tell them clearly what they used to do.

160. Whoever comes with a good deed will receive ten times its reward, but whoever comes with a bad deed will be repaid only with its equal — they won't be treated unfairly.

161. Say, "My Lord has guided me to a straight path — a true and upright religion — the way of Abraham, who was devoted purely to Allah and never worshiped idols."

162. Say, "My prayers, my worship, my life, and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of all creation."

163. He has no partner. This is what I've been commanded, and I'm the first to submit to Him."

164. Say, "Should I seek anyone other than Allah as my Lord, when He is the Lord of everything? Each soul earns only against itself, and no one carries the burden of another. In the end, you'll all return to your Lord, and He'll clearly show you the truth about your differences."

165. He is the One Who made you successors on the earth, and raised some of you above others in rank, to test you through what He has given you. Your Lord is swift in punishment, yet He is truly forgiving and full of mercy.
