In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. The Hour is near, and the moon has split apart.

2. Yet whenever they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "It's just the same old magic!"

3. They rejected the truth and followed their own desires — but every matter will reach its end.

4. News has already come to them, filled with warnings.

5. Clear wisdom — but warnings don't help them at all.

6. So turn away from them. On the Day when the caller calls them to something terrible.

7. Their eyes will be lowered in fear. They'll come out of their graves like scattered locusts.

8. Rushing toward the caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is such a hard day!"

9. Before them, Noah's people also rejected the truth. They called Our servant a madman and bullied him.

10. So he prayed to his Lord, "I'm helpless, so help me!"

11. Then We opened the gates of the sky, pouring down endless rain.

12. And made springs burst from the earth. The waters met, exactly as planned.

13. We carried him on a ship made of planks and nails.

14. Sailing under Our watchful eyes — a reward for the one who was rejected.

15. We left this as a sign. So is there anyone who will remember?

16. How terrible was My punishment and My warnings!

17. We've made the Quran easy to understand and remember — so is there anyone who will remember?

18. The people of Aad also rejected the truth. How terrible was My punishment and My warnings!

19. We sent against them a fierce, roaring wind, on a day of endless disaster.

20. Pulling people away, like uprooted palm trees.

21. How terrible was My punishment and My warnings!

22. We've made the Quran easy to understand and remember — so is there anyone who will remember?

23. Thamud rejected the warnings.

24. They said, "Should we follow a human like ourselves? Then we'd truly be lost and mad!

25. Was he chosen from among us to receive this message? No way! He's just a wicked liar."

26. Tomorrow they'll know who's really the wicked liar.

27. We will send the camel as a test for them, so watch them and be patient.

28. And tell them clearly — the water must be shared between them, each drinking turn must be respected.

29. But they called their friend, who took action and cruelly killed the camel.

30. So how terrible was My punishment and My warnings!

31. We sent against them a single blast — and they became like scattered dry stalks of a fence builder.

32. We've made the Quran easy to remember — is there anyone who will learn?

33. Lot's people also rejected the warnings.

34. We sent a storm of stones against them, except for Lot's family — we saved them before dawn.

35. As a kindness from Us. That's how We reward those who are thankful.

36. Lot had warned them of Our punishment, but they argued and doubted the warnings.

37. They even tried to take his guests from him, so We blinded their eyes. Taste My punishment and My warnings!

38. Early in the morning, lasting punishment fell upon them.

39. So taste My punishment and My warnings!

40. We've made the Quran easy to remember — is there anyone who will learn?

41. Pharaoh's people also received warnings.

42. But they rejected all Our signs, so We seized them with the power of the Mighty, the All-Powerful.

43. Are your disbelievers better than those people? Or do you have immunity written in the scriptures?

44. Or do they say, "We're a strong group, we'll surely win"?

45. Soon their group will be defeated, and they'll run away in fear.

46. Actually, the Hour of Judgment is their appointed time — and the Hour will be far more terrible and bitter.

47. Truly, the criminals are lost and mad.

48. On that Day they'll be dragged into the Fire, face-down, and told, "Taste the burning touch of Hell!"

49. We've created everything according to a perfect measure.

50. And Our command is just one word — like the blink of an eye.

51. We've already destroyed others like you — is there anyone who will learn?

52. Everything they've done is recorded in books.

53. Every small and big thing is written down.

54. Truly, those who are mindful of Allah will be in beautiful gardens and flowing rivers.

55. Sitting in places of honor, close to the Mighty King.
