In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. Ha. Meem.

2. By the clear Book.

3. We sent it down on a blessed night — We always warn people.

4. On that night, every wise matter is decided.

5. By Our command — We always send messages.

6. As a mercy from your Lord. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

7. Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them — if you truly believe.

8. There is no god except Him. He gives life and causes death — your Lord and the Lord of your earliest ancestors.

9. But they are playing around in doubt.

10. So wait for the day when the sky brings clear smoke.

11. Covering all people. This is a painful punishment.

12. They will say, "Our Lord, take this punishment away from us — we truly believe now."

13. How can they remember now? A clear messenger already came to them.

14. But they turned away from him, saying, "He is taught by others, he is crazy."

15. We will remove the punishment for a little while, but you will surely return to your old ways.

16. On the day We strike the greatest strike, We will definitely take revenge.

17. Before them, We tested Pharaoh's people. A noble messenger came to them.

18. Saying, "Let the servants of Allah go with me — I am a trustworthy messenger sent to you.

19. Do not act arrogantly against Allah. I bring you clear proof.

20. I seek protection from my Lord and your Lord, so you won't stone me.

21. If you don't believe me, then leave me alone."

22. Then he prayed to his Lord, "These people are criminals."

23. Allah said, "Take My servants away secretly at night — you will surely be chased.

24. And leave the sea calm behind you — they are an army that will drown."

25. How many gardens and springs they left behind.

26. And fields and beautiful homes.

27. And comforts they enjoyed happily.

28. Just like that, We gave it all to another people.

29. Neither the sky nor the earth cried for them, and they were given no more chances.

30. And We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating punishment.

31. From Pharaoh — he was arrogant and crossed all limits.

32. And We chose them, based on knowledge, above all the people.

33. And We gave them clear signs, in which there was an obvious test.

34. But these people now say.

35. "There's nothing but our first death — we won't be brought back to life.

36. So, if you're telling the truth, bring back our ancestors!"

37. Are they better, or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them all — they were criminals.

38. We didn't create the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, just for fun.

39. We created them only for a true purpose, but most people don't realize it.

40. Truly, the Day of Judgment is the appointed time for them all.

41. The Day when no friend can do anything for another, and they won't be helped.

42. Except those whom Allah shows mercy to. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful.

43. The tree of Zaqqum.

44. Is food for the sinner.

45. Like melted metal, it boils inside their stomachs.

46. Like boiling hot water.

47. "Grab him, and drag him into the middle of Hellfire!

48. Then pour boiling punishment over his head!

49. Taste this — you thought you were powerful and honored!

50. This is exactly what you used to doubt!"

51. But those who were mindful of Allah will be in a safe place.

52. In beautiful gardens with flowing springs.

53. Wearing fine silk clothes, facing each other happily.

54. That's how it will be — and We will pair them with pure, lovely companions.

55. There they'll ask for every kind of fruit, completely safe and secure.

56. They'll never taste death there, except the first death they already faced — and He'll protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.

57. A generous gift from your Lord — that's the greatest success.

58. We've made this Quran easy in your language, so they might remember.

59. So wait patiently — they too are waiting.
