In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. Saad. By the Quran, full of reminders.

2. But those who disbelieve are filled with pride and stubbornness.

3. How many generations before them have We destroyed? They cried out for help — but it was too late to escape.

4. They were amazed that a warner came to them from among themselves. The disbelievers said, "This man is just a lying magician.

5. Does he want to turn all our gods into just one God? This is truly something strange!"

6. Their leaders walked away, saying, "Stay strong and loyal to your gods. This is clearly part of some plan.

7. We've never heard anything like this in the religion of our ancestors. This is nothing but a made-up lie.

8. Was the message sent down to him, out of all of us?" In fact, they are in doubt about My message — but they haven't yet tasted My punishment.

9. Do they have control over the treasures of your Lord's mercy — the Almighty, the Great Giver?

10. Or do they own the heavens and the earth and everything between them? Then let them climb up to heaven by any means they can!

11. They're just an army there — already defeated, like those before them.

12. Before them, Noah's people, Aad, and Pharaoh — the one of mighty stakes — called the messengers liars.

13. So did Thamud, Lot's people, and the people of the forest — these were the groups who opposed the truth.

14. Each of them rejected the messengers, so My punishment became certain.

15. Now these people wait for nothing but a single powerful blast — it won't be delayed even a moment.

16. Yet they mockingly say, "Our Lord, hurry up, and give us our share of punishment before the Day of Judgment!"

17. Be patient with what they say, and remember Our servant David, a man of strength who always turned back to Allah.

18. We made the mountains join him, praising Allah together in the evening and at sunrise.

19. And the birds gathered around him — all constantly turning back to Allah with him.

20. We strengthened his kingdom, gave him wisdom, and the ability to speak clearly and wisely.

21. Have you heard the story of the two who argued, when they climbed over the wall into David's prayer room?

22. They entered suddenly, startling David. They said, "Don't be afraid. We're two people arguing — one of us has wronged the other. Judge between us fairly, don't be unjust, and guide us to the right path."

23. One said, "This is my brother. He has ninety-nine sheep, and I have only one. Still, he said, 'Let me take care of yours,' and he pressured me with his words."

24. David replied, "He has wronged you by asking to add your sheep to his own. Many partners treat each other unfairly — except those who believe and do good, but they are few." Then David realized We were testing him, so he asked his Lord for forgiveness, bowed down humbly, and turned back to Allah.

25. So We forgave him, and he has a special place close to Us, and a good return.

26. "David, We have made you a leader on earth, so judge between people with fairness. Don't follow your own desires, or they will lead you away from Allah's path. Those who wander away from Allah's path will face a painful punishment, because they forgot the Day of Judgment."

27. We didn't create the sky, the earth, and everything between them without purpose. That's what the disbelievers think — so how terrible the punishment of the Fire will be for those who reject the truth!

28. Should We treat those who believe and do good deeds the same as those who spread corruption on earth? Should We treat those who are mindful of Allah the same as those who openly disobey?

29. This is a blessed Book We sent down to you, so people can think deeply about its verses, and those with understanding can remember its lessons.

30. And We gave David a son, Solomon — what an excellent servant he was! He always turned back to Allah.

31. One evening, beautiful horses were presented to him, standing gracefully.

32. He said, "I loved these good things so much that I forgot to remember my Lord," until it disappeared behind the veil.

33. "Bring them back to me," he said, and he gently stroked their legs and necks.

34. We tested Solomon and placed a body on his throne, but then he turned back to Allah.

35. He prayed, "My Lord, forgive me, and grant me a kingdom that no one after me will ever have. Truly, You are the Great Giver."

36. So We made the wind obey him, blowing gently wherever he wished.

37. And We made the devils serve him — some built for him, and others dived deep into the sea.

38. And others were bound together in chains.

39. We said, "This is Our gift, so give freely or hold back, without any limit."

40. And surely, he has a special place close to Us, and a beautiful home in the end.

41. And remember Our servant Job, when he called out to his Lord, "Satan has caused me pain and suffering!"

42. "Stamp your foot. Here is cool water for washing and drinking."

43. And We gave him back his family, and doubled their number — as a mercy from Us, and a reminder for those who understand.

44. "Take a bundle of grass in your hand, and gently strike with it, and do not break your promise." We found him patient — what an excellent servant! He always turned back to Allah.

45. And remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — men of strength and insight.

46. We chose them especially, always remembering the Hereafter.

47. And truly, they are among Our chosen and best servants.

48. And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul-Kifl — each one among the best.

49. This is a reminder. Those who are mindful of Allah will have a wonderful home in the end.

50. Gardens of eternity, with gates wide open for them.

51. Relaxing there, they will ask for many fruits and drinks.

52. And with them will be companions of equal age, modest and gentle.

53. This is what you are promised for the Day of Judgment.

54. Truly, this is Our provision — it will never run out.

55. But for those who rebel, there is the worst home.

56. Hell — they will enter it, and what a terrible resting place it is!

57. Let them taste this — boiling water and bitter cold liquid.

58. And more of the same kind, in pairs.

59. "Here is another group rushing in with you!" — "They are not welcome! They will burn in the fire!"

60. They will reply, "No, you are the ones not welcome! You brought this punishment upon us — what a terrible place to stay!"

61. They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this punishment upon us, double their suffering in the fire!"

62. And they will say, "Why don't we see those men we used to think were bad?

63. Did we make fun of them wrongly, or have our eyes missed them?"

64. All this arguing among the people of the fire will definitely happen.

65. Say, "I'm only here to warn you. There is no god except Allah — the One, the Almighty.

66. The Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them — the Mighty, the Forgiving."

67. Say, "This is important news.

68. But you turn away from it.

69. I had no knowledge of the highest assembly when they argued.

70. It has only been revealed to me that I am a clear warner."

71. Remember when your Lord said to the angels, "I'm going to create a human being from clay.

72. When I have shaped him and breathed into him from My spirit, bow down before him."

73. So all the angels bowed down together.

74. Except Iblis. He was proud and became one of the ungrateful.

75. Allah said, "Iblis, what stopped you from bowing to the one I created with My own hands? Were you too proud, or did you think you were better?"

76. He said, "I'm better than him! You made me from fire, and You made him from clay."

77. Allah said, "Then get out of here — you are rejected!

78. And My curse will be on you until the Day of Judgment."

79. He said, "My Lord, then give me time until the day they are raised back to life."

80. Allah said, "You will be given time.

81. Until the Day whose time is known."

82. He said, "Then by Your power, I will surely mislead them all.

83. Except Your chosen servants among them."

84. Allah said, "Then this is the truth — and I speak only the truth.

85. I will surely fill Hell with you, and all those who follow you."

86. Say, "I'm not asking you for any reward for this, and I'm not pretending to be something I'm not.

87. This is simply a reminder for all people.

88. And you will definitely come to know its truth after a while."
