In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. Ya. Seen.

2. By the wise Quran.

3. You are surely one of the messengers.

4. On a straight path.

5. This is sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful.

6. So you can warn people whose ancestors weren't warned before, and who are unaware.

7. Most of them deserve the judgment — they won't believe.

8. We've placed chains around their necks, right up to their chins, so their heads are forced up.

9. We've put a barrier in front of them, and a barrier behind them, and We covered their eyes — so they can't see.

10. It's the same whether you warn them or not — they won't believe.

11. You can only warn those who follow the message and respect the Most Merciful, even when no one sees them. So give them good news of forgiveness and a generous reward.

12. We bring the dead back to life, and We write down everything they've done, and the marks they've left behind. We've recorded everything clearly in a perfect record.

13. Tell them the story of the people of the town, when messengers came to them.

14. We sent two messengers to them, but the people called them liars. So We supported them with a third. They said, "We are messengers sent to you."

15. The people said, "You're only humans like us. The Most Merciful hasn't sent down anything — you're just lying."

16. The messengers replied, "Our Lord knows we're truly sent to you.

17. Our only job is to deliver the message clearly."

18. The people said, "We think you're bringing us bad luck. If you don't stop, we'll stone you, and you'll suffer terribly at our hands."

19. The messengers answered, "Your bad luck comes from yourselves. Is it because you're reminded of the truth? You're people who go too far."

20. Then, from the farthest part of the city, a man came running. He said, "My people, follow the messengers!

21. Follow those who don't ask you for any reward, and who are rightly guided."

22. Why shouldn't I worship the One Who created me, and to Him you'll all return?

23. Should I take other gods besides Him? If the Most Merciful wants harm for me, their help won't do me any good, and they can't save me.

24. If I did that, I'd clearly be lost.

25. I truly believe in your Lord, so listen to me!

26. He was told, "Enter Paradise." He said, "Oh, if only my people knew.

27. How my Lord forgave me, and made me one of the honored!"

28. After him, We didn't send any army from heaven against his people, nor did We need to.

29. It was just one mighty blast — and suddenly, they were silent and still.

30. What a loss for people! Whenever a messenger comes to them, they just make fun of him.

31. Don't they see how many generations before them We destroyed? Those people will never return to them.

32. And every single one of them will surely be brought before Us.

33. A clear sign for them is the dead earth: We bring it to life, and We grow grain from it, and they eat from it.

34. And We place gardens of palm trees and grapevines there, and We make springs flow from it.

35. So they can eat its fruits, even though their own hands didn't make them. Won't they be thankful?

36. Glory to the One Who created all things in pairs — plants from the earth, humans themselves, and even things they don't know about.

37. Another sign for them is the night: We peel the daylight away from it, and suddenly they're in darkness.

38. The sun moves steadily toward its resting place — that's the plan of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.

39. And the moon, We set its phases until it returns like an old, curved palm branch.

40. The sun can't catch up to the moon, nor can the night outrun the day. Each floats in its own path.

41. Another sign for them, is how We carried their ancestors in the loaded ship.

42. And We created other things like it that they ride.

43. If We wanted, We could drown them, and no one would hear their cries, nor could they be saved.

44. Except by Our mercy, giving them enjoyment for a while longer.

45. When they're told, "beware of what is before you, and what is behind you, so that you might receive mercy."

46. Every time a sign from their Lord comes to them, they turn away from it.

47. And when they're told, "Give from what Allah has provided you," the disbelievers say to the believers, "Should we feed someone whom, if Allah wanted, He would have fed? You are clearly lost!"

48. They ask, "When will this promise come true, if you're telling the truth?"

49. They're only waiting for one powerful blast — it will seize them while they're busy arguing.

50. Then they won't have time to leave instructions, nor will they return to their families.

51. The trumpet will be blown, and suddenly they'll rush from their graves toward their Lord.

52. They'll cry out, "Oh no! Who woke us up from our resting place?" This is what the Most Merciful promised, and the messengers spoke the truth.

53. It will only take one mighty blast, and suddenly, they'll all be brought before Us.

54. Today, no one will be treated unfairly — you'll only be recompensed for what you used to do.

55. Today, the people of Paradise are joyfully occupied.

56. Relaxing with their spouses in cool shade, reclining on comfortable couches.

57. They'll have delicious fruits there, and whatever they wish for.

58. "Peace!" — a greeting from a merciful Lord.

59. But today, step aside, you who did wrong!

60. Didn't I warn you, children of Adam, not to worship Satan? He is clearly your enemy.

61. And didn't I tell you to worship only Me? This is the straight path.

62. Yet Satan misled so many of you — didn't you think clearly?

63. Here is Hell — the punishment you were warned about.

64. Enter it today, because you refused to believe.

65. Today, We seal their mouths — their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about everything they did.

66. If We wanted, We could have taken away their eyesight, leaving them to struggle along the path — how could they see then?

67. And if We wanted, We could have changed their form right where they stood, so they couldn't move forward or go back.

68. Whoever We allow to grow old, We reverse them in creation — won't they understand?

69. We didn't teach him poetry, nor is poetry suitable for him. This is simply a reminder, and a clear Quran.

70. To warn those who are alive, and to prove the truth against the disbelievers.

71. Don't they see that We created animals for them with Our own hands, and now they own them?

72. We made these animals gentle for them — some they ride, and some they eat.

73. They get many benefits and drinks from them. So why aren't they thankful?

74. But instead, they took other gods besides Allah, hoping those gods would help them.

75. Those gods can't help them at all — they'll just end up as an army brought against them.

76. So don't let their words make you sad. We know exactly what they hide, and what they show.

77. Doesn't the human being see that We created him from just a tiny drop? Yet suddenly, he's openly arguing against Us!

78. He gives Us examples, forgetting his own creation, and says, "Who can bring bones back to life, after they've turned to dust?"

79. Say, "The One Who made them the first time, will bring them back to life. He knows everything about every creation."

80. He's the One Who gives you fire from green trees — you use it to light your fires.

81. Isn't the One Who created the heavens and the earth, able to create people like them again? Of course He is! He is the Creator Who knows everything.

82. When He wants something to happen, He simply says, "Be," and it is.

83. So glory belongs to the One Who holds control over everything, and to Him you will all return.
