In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. Praise belongs to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who made angels His messengers, with wings — two, three, or four. He adds to His creation whatever He wishes. Allah truly has power over everything.

2. Whatever mercy Allah opens up for people, no one can hold back. And whatever He holds back, no one else can send forward. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

3. People, remember Allah's blessings to you. Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the sky and the earth? There is no god except Him. So how can you turn away?

4. If they call you a liar, remember that messengers before you were also called liars. And all things return to Allah.

5. People, Allah's promise is true, so don't let this worldly life fool you, and don't let the great deceiver fool you about Allah.

6. Satan is your enemy, so treat him as an enemy. He only calls his followers to become people of the blazing Fire.

7. Those who disbelieve will have a painful punishment, but those who believe and do good deeds will have forgiveness and a great reward.

8. What about someone whose bad actions seem good to him? Allah lets whoever He wills lose their way, and guides whoever He wills. So don't let yourself be overcome with sadness for them — Allah knows exactly what they do.

9. Allah is the One Who sends the winds, stirring up clouds. Then We drive them to a lifeless land, bringing the earth back to life after it was dead. That's how the resurrection will be.

10. Whoever wants honor and strength, know that all honor and strength belong to Allah alone. Good words rise up to Him, and good actions lift them higher. But those who plot evil will have a painful punishment, and their plots will fail completely.

11. Allah created you from dust, then from a tiny drop, then He made you into pairs. No female carries or gives birth without His knowledge. No one grows old or has their life shortened, without it being recorded in a book. This is easy for Allah.

12. The two seas aren't the same — one is fresh, sweet, and pleasant to drink, while the other is salty and bitter. Yet from both, you eat fresh meat, and you take out jewelry to wear. You see ships sailing through them, so you can seek His blessings and perhaps be thankful.

13. He makes the night flow into the day, and the day flow into the night. He placed the sun and the moon under His control, each moving for a set time. This is Allah, your Lord. All control belongs to Him. Yet those you call on besides Him don't even own as much as the skin of a date seed.

14. If you call on them, they can't hear your prayers. Even if they heard, they wouldn't answer you. On the Day of Judgment, they'll reject your worship of them. No one can tell you the truth like the One Who knows everything.

15. O people, you are the ones who need Allah, while Allah alone is Rich beyond need, Worthy of all praise.

16. If He wishes, He can remove you, and bring a new creation in your place.

17. And that isn't difficult for Allah at all.

18. No one will carry another person's burden. Even if someone weighed down by their own burden calls for help, no one else will carry even a tiny part of it — not even a close relative. You can only warn those who respect their Lord without seeing Him, and who pray regularly. And whoever purifies themselves, they do it for their own good. In the end, everyone returns to Allah.

19. The blind and the seeing aren't equal.

20. Nor are darkness and light.

21. Nor are cool shade and scorching heat.

22. And the living and the dead aren't equal either. Allah makes whoever He wishes hear the truth, but you can't make those in their graves hear you.

23. You are only a warner.

24. We have sent you with the truth — as a bringer of good news and a warner. Every community before had someone to warn them.

25. If they call you a liar, remember that people before them also rejected the truth. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs, and with scriptures, and with the enlightening Book.

26. Then I seized those who disbelieved — and how terrible was My punishment!

27. Don't you see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, bringing out fruits of many different colors? And in the mountains, there are streaks of white and red, of various shades, and some are deep black.

28. And among people, animals, and livestock, there are also many different colors. Only the knowledgeable among His servants truly fear Allah. Allah is powerful and forgiving.

29. Those who recite Allah's Book, pray regularly, and give from what We provided them, secretly and openly, hope for a trade that will never fail.

30. So that He will give them their full reward, and even more from His bounty. He is forgiving and grateful.

31. The Book We revealed to you is the truth, confirming what came before it. Allah sees and knows His servants completely.

32. Then We gave the Book as an inheritance to those We chose from among Our servants: among them are those who wrong themselves, some who follow a middle path, and some who race ahead in doing good by Allah's permission—that is the greatest blessing.

33. They will enter Gardens of lasting joy, where they will wear bracelets of gold and pearls, and their clothes there will be made of silk.

34. They will say, "Praise belongs to Allah, Who has taken away all sadness from us. Truly, our Lord is forgiving and deeply grateful.

35. He has settled us in this eternal home by His kindness, where no tiredness or weariness will ever touch us."

36. But those who disbelieve will have the fire of Hell. They won't be allowed to die, nor will their punishment ever be made lighter. This is how We repay every ungrateful one.

37. There they will cry out, "Our Lord, take us out! We promise we'll do good deeds, different from what we used to do!" But didn't We give you enough time to remember, if you wanted to remember? And the warner came to you. So taste the punishment — those who do wrong have no helper.

38. Allah knows every hidden thing in the heavens and the earth. He knows what's deep inside people's hearts.

39. He is the One Who made you successors on the earth. Whoever rejects the truth, their rejection only harms themselves. Their disbelief only increases their Lord's anger toward them, and their disbelief only leads them further into loss.

40. Say, "Think about those partners you pray to instead of Allah. Show me what they created on earth. Do they have any share in the heavens? Or did We give them a book with clear proof?" No, the wrongdoers promise each other nothing but false hope.

41. Allah alone holds the heavens and the earth, keeping them from falling apart. If they ever fell apart, no one else could hold them together after Him. He is always patient and forgiving.

42. They swore by Allah, with their strongest promises, that if a warner came to them, they would surely be more guided than any other people. But when a warner did come to them, it only made them turn away even more.

43. Because of their pride on earth, and their evil plotting. But evil plots only backfire on those who make them. Are they waiting for anything except the same fate as those before them? You will never find any change in Allah's way, and you will never find Allah's way replaced.

44. Haven't they traveled through the land, and seen how those before them ended up? Those earlier people were even stronger than they are. Nothing in the heavens or on earth can ever escape Allah. He is truly all-knowing and all-powerful.

45. If Allah punished people immediately for the wrong they did, He wouldn't leave a single living creature on earth. But He delays their punishment until a set time. And when their time comes, Allah sees His servants clearly.
