In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. Alif. Lam. Meem.

2. This Book is sent down from the Lord of all creation — there's no doubt about it.

3. Or do they say, "He made it up"? No, it's the truth from your Lord, sent to warn people who didn't have any warner before you, so they might find the right way.

4. Allah created the heavens, the earth, and everything between them in six days, then He rose above the Throne. Besides Him, you have no protector and no helper — won't you remember?

5. He manages everything from heaven down to earth, then it rises back to Him on a day that measures a thousand years by your counting.

6. He is the One Who knows what is hidden and what is seen — the Mighty, the Most Merciful.

7. He made everything He created perfectly, and He began creating the human being from clay.

8. Then He made humans continue through generations, from a simple fluid.

9. Then He shaped him, breathed into him from His spirit, and gave you hearing, sight, and hearts — but how little you give thanks!

10. And they say, "When we're lost in the earth, will we really be created again?" Actually, they don't believe they'll meet their Lord.

11. Say, "The angel of death, who's been put in charge of you, will take your souls, then you'll return to your Lord."

12. If only you could see the guilty ones hanging their heads before their Lord, saying, "Our Lord, we've seen and heard clearly now, so send us back — we'll do good deeds. Now we're sure!"

13. If We had wanted, We could've guided every soul, but My word will come true: "I'll surely fill Hell with jinn and humans together."

14. So taste this punishment, because you forgot you'd meet this Day of yours. Now We've forgotten you. Taste the punishment that lasts forever, because of what you used to do.

15. Only those truly believe in Our verses who, when reminded of them, fall down in prostration, praising their Lord's glory — and they're never arrogant.

16. Their sides leave their beds as they pray to their Lord with hope and fear, and they give from what We have provided them.

17. No one knows the amazing joys kept hidden for them — as a reward for what they used to do.

18. Can someone who believes be like someone who disobeys? They are not equal.

19. Those who believe and do good deeds will have Gardens of rest — as a welcome reward for what they used to do.

20. But those who disobeyed — their home will be the Fire. Every time they try to leave it, they'll be sent back to it, and told, "Taste the punishment of the Fire that you used to deny."

21. We'll surely let them taste a smaller punishment, before the greater punishment, so they might turn back.

22. Who could be more wrong than someone reminded of his Lord's verses, but then turns away from them? We'll surely take revenge on those who do wrong.

23. We gave Moses the Book, so don't doubt meeting Him, and We made it a guide for the Children of Israel.

24. And from among them, We chose leaders who guided others by Our command — because they were patient and truly believed in Our verses.

25. Your Lord will surely judge between them on the Day of Judgment about what they used to disagree over.

26. Isn't it clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them, whose homes they now walk through? There are clear lessons in this — won't they listen?

27. Don't they see how We send water to dry land, bringing out crops that their animals and they themselves eat? Won't they see?

28. And they ask, "When will this victory come, if you're telling the truth?"

29. Say, "On the Day of victory, believing won't help those who disbelieved, nor will they be given more time."

30. So turn away from them, and wait — they too are waiting.
