In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. Ta. Seen. Meem.

2. These are the Verses of the clear Book.

3. You might worry yourself to death because they won't believe.

4. If We wanted, We could send down a miracle from the sky on them, making them bow their heads in humility.

5. But whenever a new reminder comes to them from the Most Merciful, they just turn away.

6. They've already rejected the truth, but soon they'll hear the news of what they used to mock.

7. Haven't they seen the earth, and how many wonderful plants of every kind We've grown there?

8. Surely, there's a clear sign in this, but most of them still don't believe.

9. And truly, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful.

10. Remember when your Lord called Moses, saying, "Go to the unjust people.

11. Pharaoh's people. Won't they fear Allah?"

12. Moses said, "My Lord, I'm afraid they'll call me a liar.

13. My heart feels tight, and my tongue doesn't speak clearly, so please send for Aaron to help me.

14. Also, they hold a charge against me, and I'm afraid they'll kill me."

15. Allah said, "Certainly not! Both of you, go with Our miracles. We're with you, listening closely.

16. Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are messengers from the Lord of all the worlds.

17. Let the Children of Israel go with us.'"

18. Pharaoh said, "Didn't we raise you among us as a child, and didn't you spend many years of your life with us?

19. And you did that deed you did — and you were so ungrateful!"

20. Moses replied, "I did it back then, when I was lost.

21. So I ran away from you, because I was afraid. Then my Lord gave me wisdom, and He made me one of His messengers.

22. And is that a favor you're reminding me of — that you've enslaved the Children of Israel?"

23. Pharaoh asked, "And what is this 'Lord of the Worlds'?"

24. Moses answered, "He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them, if you really believe."

25. Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear that?"

26. Moses continued, "He is your Lord, and the Lord of your earliest ancestors."

27. Pharaoh said, "This messenger sent to you is surely crazy!"

28. Moses replied, "He is the Lord of the east and the west and everything between them, if you would only understand."

29. Pharaoh warned, "If you dare to worship any god besides me, I will definitely throw you in prison!"

30. Moses asked, "Even if I show you something clear and amazing?"

31. Pharaoh said, "Then show it, if you're telling the truth."

32. So Moses threw down his staff, and suddenly — it became a clear serpent.

33. Then he pulled out his hand, and instantly — it was white for everyone to see.

34. Pharaoh said to the leaders around him, "This man is definitely a skilled magician!

35. He wants to drive you out of your land with his magic. So what do you suggest?"

36. They answered, "Delay him and his brother for a while, and send messengers to all the cities.

37. To bring you every skilled magician they can find."

38. So the magicians were gathered together for an appointed day.

39. And the people were asked, "Will you all come together.

40. So we can follow the magicians if they win?"

41. When the magicians arrived, they asked Pharaoh, "Will we get a reward if we win?"

42. Pharaoh answered, "Yes, and you'll even become my closest friends."

43. Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you're going to throw."

44. So they threw down their ropes and staffs, saying, "By Pharaoh's power, we will surely win!"

45. Then Moses threw down his staff, and suddenly — it swallowed up all their fake tricks.

46. Then the magicians fell down in prostration.

47. They declared, "We believe in the Lord of the Worlds.

48. The Lord of Moses and Aaron!"

49. Pharaoh shouted, "How dare you believe him before I gave you permission! He must be your leader who taught you magic. You will soon see — I will cut off your hands and feet from opposite sides, and I will crucify every one of you!"

50. They replied, "It does not matter. We will return to our Lord anyway.

51. We truly hope our Lord will forgive our mistakes, since we were the first to believe."

52. We revealed to Moses, "Leave quietly with My servants — you'll surely be followed."

53. Then Pharaoh sent messengers to the cities.

54. Saying, "These people are just a small group.

55. And they're making us very angry.

56. But we're all alert and ready."

57. So We drove them out of gardens and springs.

58. And treasures, and beautiful homes.

59. And that's how We gave all these things to the Children of Israel.

60. Pharaoh's people chased after them at sunrise.

61. When the two groups saw each other, Moses' followers cried out, "They're going to catch us!"

62. Moses said, "No way! My Lord is with me — He will guide me."

63. Then We revealed to Moses, "Strike the sea with your staff." It split apart, and each side stood like a huge mountain.

64. And We brought the others close behind.

65. We saved Moses and everyone with him, all together.

66. Then We drowned the others.

67. In this is a clear sign, but most of them didn't believe.

68. And your Lord is truly the Mighty, the Most Merciful.

69. Tell them the story of Abraham.

70. When he asked his father and his people, "What do you worship?"

71. They answered, "We worship idols, and we stay devoted to them."

72. He asked, "Do they hear you when you call them?

73. Can they help you or harm you?"

74. They replied, "No, but we found our parents doing this."

75. Abraham said, "Have you really thought about what you've been worshiping.

76. You and your ancestors before you?

77. They're all enemies to me, except the Lord of all creation.

78. Who created me and guides me.

79. Who gives me food and drink.

80. And when I'm sick, He heals me.

81. Who will cause me to die, then bring me back to life.

82. And Who I truly hope will forgive my mistakes on the Day of Judgment.

83. My Lord, grant me wisdom, and join me with the good people.

84. Give me a good reputation among those who come later.

85. And make me one of those who inherit the Garden of happiness.

86. Forgive my father — he was one of those who lost their way.

87. And don't disgrace me on the day when everyone is raised again.

88. The day when neither money nor children can help.

89. Except for the one who comes to Allah with a pure heart."

90. Paradise will be brought close for those who were mindful of Allah.

91. And Hellfire will be shown clearly to those who lost their way.

92. They'll be asked, "Where are the things you used to worship.

93. Besides Allah? Can they help you now, or even help themselves?"

94. Then they'll be thrown headfirst into Hellfire — both they and those who lost their way.

95. And all the followers of Satan, together.

96. Arguing with each other there, they'll say.

97. "By Allah, we were clearly so wrong.

98. When we made you equal to the Lord of all creation.

99. Only the guilty ones led us astray.

100. Now we have no one to speak for us.

101. And no close friend to help us.

102. If only we had another chance, we'd definitely be true believers."

103. In this is a clear sign, but most of them didn't believe.

104. And your Lord is truly the Mighty, the Most Merciful.

105. The people of Noah rejected the messengers.

106. When their brother Noah said to them, "Won't you fear Allah?

107. I'm a trustworthy messenger sent to you.

108. So fear Allah, and obey me.

109. I'm not asking you for any reward for this — my reward comes only from the Lord of all creation.

110. So fear Allah, and obey me."

111. They said, "Should we believe you, when only the lowest people follow you?"

112. Noah said, "How would I know what they used to do?

113. Their judgment belongs only to my Lord, if you could understand.

114. And I won't drive away the believers.

115. I'm only here to clearly warn you."

116. They said, "Noah, if you don't stop, you'll definitely be stoned!"

117. Noah prayed, "My Lord, my people have rejected me.

118. So judge clearly between me and them, and save me and the believers who are with me."

119. So We saved him and those who were with him in the fully loaded ship.

120. Then afterward, We drowned all the rest.

121. Surely, there's a lesson in this, but most of them didn't believe.

122. And your Lord is truly the Mighty, the Most Merciful.

123. The people of Aad rejected the messengers.

124. When their brother Hud said to them, "Won't you fear Allah?

125. I'm a trustworthy messenger sent to you.

126. So fear Allah, and obey me.

127. I'm not asking you for any reward — my reward comes only from the Lord of all creation.

128. Do you build grand monuments on every high place, just amusing yourselves?

129. And you build fortresses, as if you'll live forever.

130. And when you strike, you strike harshly, like cruel tyrants.

131. So fear Allah, and obey me.

132. And fear the One Who has given you all the things you know.

133. He's given you animals and children.

134. Gardens and flowing springs.

135. I'm truly afraid you'll suffer the punishment of a terrible day."

136. They said, "It makes no difference to us whether you warn us or not.

137. This is just the way people acted long ago.

138. And we won't be punished."

139. So they rejected him, and We destroyed them. Surely, there's a lesson in this, but most of them didn't believe.

140. And your Lord is truly the Mighty, the Most Merciful.

141. The people of Thamud rejected the messengers.

142. When their brother Salih said to them, "Won't you fear Allah?"

143. I am truly a trustworthy messenger sent to you.

144. So respect Allah and obey me.

145. I don't ask you for any reward — my reward comes only from the Lord of all creation.

146. Do you think you will be left secure in what you have here?

147. In gardens and springs.

148. With fields and palm trees with fruit that is soft and easy to eat?

149. And you carve houses out of mountains, showing off your skill.

150. So respect Allah and obey me.

151. And don't follow the orders of those who are extravagant and exceed all bounds.

152. Those who spread corruption on earth and never set things right.

153. They said, "You're just someone under a magic spell!

154. You're only a human like us. Show us a miracle if you're telling the truth!"

155. He said, "This is a camel — she has her turn to drink, and you have your own turn on a known day.

156. Don't harm her, or you'll face punishment on a terrible day."

157. But they cruelly killed her, and soon they deeply regretted it.

158. Then the punishment struck them. In this is a clear lesson, but most of them didn't believe.

159. And your Lord is truly the Mighty, the Most Merciful.

160. The people of Lot rejected the messengers too.

161. When their brother Lot said to them, "Won't you respect Allah?

162. I am truly a trustworthy messenger sent to you.

163. So respect Allah and obey me.

164. I don't ask you for any reward — my reward comes only from the Lord of all creation.

165. Do you approach men among all people?

166. And you leave behind the spouses your Lord created for you? You're truly crossing all limits!"

167. They said, "Lot, if you don't stop, you'll definitely be thrown out!"

168. He replied, "I strongly disapprove of what you're doing.

169. My Lord, save me and my family from what they're doing."

170. So We saved him and all his family.

171. Except for an old woman who was among those left behind.

172. Then We completely destroyed the others.

173. And We poured down on them a rain — how terrible was the rain that fell on those who had been warned!

174. In this is a clear lesson, but most of them didn't believe.

175. And your Lord is truly the Mighty, the Most Merciful.

176. The people of the forest also rejected the messengers.

177. When Shuayb said to them, "Won't you respect Allah?

178. I am truly a trustworthy messenger sent to you.

179. So respect Allah and obey me.

180. I don't ask you for any reward — my reward comes only from the Lord of all creation.

181. Give full measure, and don't cheat others by giving less.

182. Weigh things fairly and honestly.

183. Don't take away people's rights, and don't spread trouble and corruption on earth.

184. And respect the One Who created you and all the generations before you."

185. They said, "You're just someone under a magic spell!

186. You're only a human like us, and we think you're lying.

187. Make pieces of the sky fall on us, if you're telling the truth!"

188. He said, "My Lord knows best what you're doing."

189. But they rejected him, so the punishment of the Day of Canopy seized them — it was truly a terrible day's punishment.

190. In this is a clear lesson, but most of them didn't believe.

191. And your Lord is truly the Mighty, the Most Merciful.

192. This Quran is sent down by the Lord of all creation.

193. The trustworthy Spirit brought it down.

194. Right into your heart, so you could be one of those who warn others.

195. In clear Arabic.

196. And it's mentioned in the scriptures of those who came before.

197. Isn't it enough proof for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel knew it?

198. Even if We had revealed it to someone who didn't speak Arabic.

199. And he read it to them, they still wouldn't believe in it.

200. That's how We place it inside the hearts of those who do wrong.

201. They won't believe it until they see the painful punishment.

202. It will come to them suddenly, when they least expect it.

203. Then they'll say, "Can we have more time?"

204. Do they really want Our punishment to come faster?

205. Think about it — if We let them enjoy life for many years.

206. And then the punishment they were promised finally comes.

207. All the pleasures they enjoyed wouldn't help them at all.

208. We never destroyed any town without first sending people to warn them.

209. As a reminder. And We were never unfair.

210. The devils didn't bring down this Quran.

211. They aren't allowed to, and they don't even have the power to do it.

212. They're completely blocked from hearing it.

213. So don't pray to any other god besides Allah, or you'll be among those who suffer.

214. And warn your closest family members.

215. And be gentle and kind to those believers who follow you.

216. But if they disobey you, then say, "I have nothing to do with what you're doing."

217. And put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful.

218. Who sees you when you stand up to pray.

219. And when you move among those who bow down in worship.

220. He is the One Who hears everything and knows everything.

221. Should I tell you who the devils actually come down to?

222. They come down to every lying sinner.

223. They try to listen, but most of them just tell lies.

224. And poets — those who are lost follow them.

225. Don't you see how poets wander aimlessly in every valley.

226. And how they say things they don't actually do?

227. Except for those who believe, do good deeds, remember Allah often, and defend themselves after being treated unfairly. Those who do wrong will soon find out what kind of end they're heading toward.
