In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.

1. Ta. Ha.

2. We didn't send down the Quran to make you unhappy.

3. But as a reminder for those who respect and fear Allah.

4. It is a revelation from the One Who created the earth and the highest heavens.

5. The Most Merciful, Who rose above the Throne.

6. Everything in the heavens, everything on earth, everything between them, and everything beneath the ground belongs to Him.

7. Whether you speak openly or quietly, He knows every secret — even what's hidden deeper.

8. Allah — there is no god except Him. To Him belong the most beautiful names.

9. Has the story of Moses reached you?

10. When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I've noticed a fire. Maybe I can bring you a burning stick, or find someone there who can guide us."

11. When he approached it, a voice called out, "Moses!

12. I am your Lord. Take off your sandals — you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa.

13. I've chosen you, so listen carefully to what is revealed.

14. Truly, I am Allah. There is no god except Me, so worship Me and pray regularly to remember Me.

15. The Hour is definitely coming — I almost keep it hidden — so that every soul receives exactly what it deserves for its efforts.

16. So don't let anyone who doesn't believe in it, and follows their own desires, turn you away from it, or you'll be lost."

17. "And what's that in your right hand, Moses?"

18. He said, "It's my staff. I lean on it, shake leaves down for my sheep with it, and I have other uses for it too."

19. Allah said, "Throw it down, Moses."

20. So he threw it down — and suddenly it became a snake, moving quickly.

21. Allah said, "Pick it up, and don't be afraid. We'll turn it back to how it was before.

22. Now put your hand under your arm — it will come out shining white, without any harm. This is another miracle.

23. To show you some of Our greatest signs.

24. Go to Pharaoh — he has crossed all limits."

25. Moses said, "My Lord, open my heart for me.

26. And make my task easy for me.

27. And untie the knot from my tongue.

28. So they can clearly understand my words.

29. And give me a helper from my family.

30. Aaron, my brother.

31. Strengthen me through him.

32. And let him share my task.

33. So we can praise You often.

34. And remember You often.

35. Truly, You have always watched over us."

36. Allah said, "Moses, your request has been granted.

37. And certainly, We favored you once before.

38. When We inspired your mother with this message.

39. 'Put him into the basket, then place it into the river. The river will carry him to the shore, where an enemy of Mine and his will pick him up.' And I wrapped you in My love, so you would be brought up under My eye.

40. Remember when your sister followed you and said, 'Should I show you someone who can care for him?' So We returned you to your mother, bringing comfort to her eyes, and removing her sadness. And later, you killed someone — but We saved you from distress, and tested you with many trials. Then you stayed for years among the people of Midian, and now you have come here, Moses, at the right time.

41. And I have prepared you especially for Myself.

42. Go — you and your brother — with My signs, and never become tired of remembering Me.

43. Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has crossed all limits.

44. Speak to him gently, so perhaps he will remember or feel awe."

45. They said, "Our Lord, we are afraid he might harm us or become violent."

46. Allah said, "Do not be afraid — I am with you both, hearing and seeing everything.

47. Go to him and say, 'We are messengers from your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not harm them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. Peace will be upon whoever follows the right way.

48. It has been revealed to us that punishment will come to whoever denies the truth and turns away.'"

49. Pharaoh said, "So who is this Lord of yours, Moses?"

50. Moses replied, "Our Lord is the One Who gave everything its form, then guided it."

51. Pharaoh asked, "Then what about the earlier generations?"

52. Moses said, "Knowledge about them is with my Lord, recorded in a Book. My Lord never loses His way, nor does He forget.

53. He is the One Who made the earth smooth and comfortable for you, and created pathways for you to travel, and sent down water from the sky. With that water, We bring out many different kinds of plants.

54. Eat, and let your animals graze. Truly, in all this are signs for people who think carefully."

55. From the earth We created you, into it We will return you, and from it We will bring you out once more.

56. We showed Pharaoh all Our signs, but he rejected them and refused to believe.

57. He said, "Moses, have you come to drive us out of our land with your magic?

58. We will surely bring magic just like yours. Set a time and place for both of us, and neither we nor you will break this promise — a fair location."

59. Moses said, "Your meeting will be on the day of the festival, when people gather in the morning."

60. So Pharaoh went away, prepared his plan, and then returned.

61. Moses warned them, "How terrible for you! Don't make up lies against Allah, or He will destroy you with punishment. Whoever lies about Allah will surely fail."

62. They argued among themselves about what to do, whispering secretly.

63. They said, "These two men are magicians. They want to drive you out of your land with their magic, and do away with your exemplary traditions.

64. So gather your plans, then come together in a strong line. Today, whoever wins will succeed."

65. They said, "Moses, will you throw first, or should we be the first to throw?"

66. Moses replied, "No, you throw first." Suddenly, their ropes and sticks seemed to him, because of their magic, as if they were moving.

67. Moses felt fear inside himself.

68. We said, "Don't be afraid! You will surely win.

69. Throw down what's in your right hand — it will swallow up what they've made. What they've done is only a magician's trick, and magicians never succeed, wherever they go."

70. Then the magicians fell down, bowing to the ground, and said, "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses!"

71. Pharaoh shouted, "How dare you believe in him before I gave you permission! He must be your leader who taught you magic. I'll cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and hang you on palm trees. Then you'll see whose punishment is worse and lasts longer!"

72. They answered, "We will never choose you over the clear signs that have come to us, nor over the One Who created us. So do whatever you want — your power is only in this worldly life.

73. We truly believe in our Lord, hoping He will forgive our mistakes and the magic you forced us to do. Allah is better and everlasting."

74. Whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal will surely have Hell, where he won't die or live.

75. But whoever comes to Him as a believer, having done good deeds, they will have the highest ranks.

76. Gardens of eternity, with rivers flowing beneath them, staying there forever. That is the reward for those who purify themselves.

77. We revealed to Moses, "Leave at night with My servants, and make a dry path for them through the sea. Don't be afraid of being caught, and don't worry."

78. Then Pharaoh chased after them with his soldiers, but the sea completely covered them.

79. Pharaoh led his people astray — he didn't guide them at all.

80. O Children of Israel, We saved you from your enemy, promised to meet you on the right side of Mount Sinai, and sent down to you manna and quails.

81. Eat from the good things We have provided for you, but don't cross the limits, or My anger will fall upon you. And whoever My anger falls upon has fallen.

82. Yet I am forgiving to whoever repents, believes, does good deeds, and stays on the right path.

83. Allah asked, "Moses, why did you hurry ahead of your people?"

84. Moses replied, "They are close behind me. I hurried to You, my Lord, so You would be pleased."

85. Allah said, "But after you left, We tested your people, and the Samiri led them astray."

86. Moses returned to his people, angry and deeply upset. He said, "My people, didn't your Lord make you a beautiful promise? Did the wait seem too long for you, or did you want your Lord's anger to fall upon you, so you broke your promise to me?"

87. They replied, "We didn't break our promise to you on purpose. We were weighed down with jewelry belonging to others, so we threw it away, and the Samiri did the same."

88. Then he made for them a calf — a statue that made a mooing sound. They said, "This is your god and the god of Moses," but he forgot.

89. Didn't they see that it couldn't answer them, nor could it bring them harm or benefit?

90. Aaron had already warned them, "My people, you're being tested by this. Your Lord is the Most Merciful, so follow me and obey my words."

91. But they said, "We won't stop worshiping it until Moses comes back to us."

92. Moses asked, "Aaron, when you saw them going astray, what stopped you.

93. From following me? Did you disobey my command?"

94. Aaron said, "Son of my mother, please don't grab me by my beard or my head. I was afraid you'd say, 'You divided the Children of Israel, and didn't follow my instructions.'"

95. Moses asked, "Samiri, what do you have to say for yourself?"

96. He answered, "I saw something they didn't see, so I took a handful of dust from the messenger's trail, and I threw it. My own desires made this seem good to me."

97. Moses said, "Go away! For the rest of your life, you'll say, 'Don't touch me.' And there's a punishment waiting for you that you can't escape. Now look at your 'god' that you kept worshiping — we'll burn it, then scatter its ashes completely into the sea."

98. Your only God is Allah, besides Whom there is no other god. His knowledge covers everything.

99. This is how We tell you stories of what happened before. And We have given you a reminder from Us.

100. Whoever turns away from it will carry a heavy burden on the Day of Judgment.

101. They will remain under it forever. What a terrible burden they'll have on the Day of Judgment!

102. On that Day, the trumpet will be blown, and We will gather the guilty ones — blue-faced from fear.

103. They'll whisper quietly among themselves, "You stayed only ten days."

104. We know best what they'll say. The wisest among them will say, "You stayed only one day."

105. They ask you about the mountains. Say, "My Lord will scatter them completely.

106. Leaving the earth flat and empty.

107. You won't see any curves or bumps."

108. On that Day, everyone will follow the caller — no one will stray from him. All voices will be quiet before the Most Merciful, and you'll hear nothing but whispers.

109. On that Day, intercession won't help anyone — except for those the Most Merciful permits, and whose words He approves.

110. He knows everything ahead of them and everything behind them, but their knowledge can't grasp Him.

111. Faces will bow humbly before the Ever-Living, the One Who sustains everything. Anyone carrying wrongdoing will surely fail.

112. But whoever does good deeds and believes won't fear unfairness or injustice.

113. This is how We sent it down as an Arabic Quran, clearly explaining warnings, so people might be mindful or it might remind them.

114. Exalted is Allah, the True King! Don't rush to recite the Quran before its revelation is finished for you, and say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."

115. We made a promise to Adam before, but he forgot, and We didn't find determination in him.

116. And remember when We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam," and they all bowed, except Satan — he refused.

117. Then We said, "Adam, this one is an enemy to you and your wife. Don't let him drive you both out of Paradise, or you will suffer.

118. Here, you'll never feel hungry or go without clothes.

119. You'll never be thirsty or feel the burning heat of the sun."

120. But Satan whispered to Adam, saying, "Adam, should I show you the tree of eternal life and a kingdom that never fades?"

121. So they both ate from it, and suddenly their shame became clear to them. They began covering themselves with leaves from Paradise. Adam disobeyed his Lord, and he went astray.

122. But then his Lord chose him, accepted his repentance, and guided him.

123. He said, "Both of you, go down from here together — you'll be enemies to each other. But whenever guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance won't lose their way or suffer.

124. But whoever turns away from remembering Me, will have a difficult life, and We'll raise them up blind on the Day of Judgment."

125. They'll say, "My Lord, why did You raise me up blind, when I used to see?"

126. Allah will say, "Just as Our verses came to you, and you forgot them, today you'll be forgotten."

127. This is how We repay those who crossed the limits, and didn't believe in their Lord's verses. And the punishment of the Hereafter is far worse, and lasts forever.

128. Haven't they learned from how many generations We destroyed before them? They walk through the ruins of their homes. In this are clear lessons for people who understand.

129. If it wasn't for a promise already made by your Lord and a fixed time, their punishment would have come right away.

130. So be patient with what they say, and glorify your Lord with praise before sunrise and before sunset, and during parts of the night, and at the ends of the day, so that you'll be pleased.

131. Don't look longingly at the good things We've given some people to enjoy — the beauty of this worldly life — to test them. Your Lord's reward is far better and lasts forever.

132. Tell your family to pray regularly, and be patient in doing it. We don't ask you to provide for Us — We provide for you. And the best outcome is for those who are mindful of Allah.

133. They say, "Why doesn't he bring us a miracle from his Lord?" Hasn't clear proof already come to them in the earlier scriptures?

134. If We had destroyed them with punishment before this, they would've said, "Our Lord, why didn't You send us a messenger? Then we could've followed Your verses before being humiliated and disgraced."

135. Say to them, "Everyone is waiting, so wait — you'll soon see who follows the straight path, and who is truly guided."
