In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. I swear by this city.

2. And you are allowed to be in this city.

3. And by parent and child.

4. We created people to face struggles.

5. Does he think no one has power over him?

6. He says, "I've used up so much money!"

7. Does he think no one sees him?

8. Didn't We give him two eyes?

9. And a tongue and two lips?

10. And didn't We show him the two ways?

11. But he hasn't tried the steep path.

12. And do you know what the steep path is?

13. It's freeing a slave.

14. Or feeding on a day of hunger.

15. An orphan who is a close relative.

16. Or a poor person in the dust.

17. Then being one of those who believe, who encourage each other to be patient, and who encourage each other to be kind.

18. Those are the people of happiness.

19. But those who disbelieve in Our verses — they're the people of misery.

20. Around them will be a Fire closed tightly.
