In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. By the sky, full of stars!

2. And by the promised Day!

3. And by the witness and the witnessed!

4. The people of the ditch were destroyed.

5. The ditch filled with burning fire.

6. They sat around it.

7. Watching closely what they did to the believers.

8. They were angry with them only because they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy.

9. The One Who rules the heavens and the earth. And Allah is a Witness over everything.

10. Those who were cruel to the believing men and women, and then didn't repent, will have the punishment of Hell and the burning fire.

11. But those who believe and do good things will have gardens with rivers flowing under them. That is the great success.

12. Your Lord's punishment is very strong.

13. He is the One Who starts things, and brings them back again.

14. And He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Loving.

15. The One with the majestic Throne.

16. He can do whatever He wants.

17. Have you heard the story of the armies?

18. Pharaoh and Thamud?

19. But those who disbelieve keep saying it's not true.

20. And Allah surrounds them from all sides.

21. But this is a glorious Quran.

22. Kept safe on a protected tablet.
