In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. By those sent gently, one after another.

2. And by those that blow with great force.

3. And by those who spread things far and wide.

4. And by those who separate things clearly.

5. And by those who deliver a reminder.

6. To give excuses or warnings.

7. What you're promised will surely happen.

8. When the stars lose their light.

9. And when the sky splits open.

10. And when the mountains crumble away.

11. And when the messengers are given a set time.

12. For which day have they been postponed?

13. For the Day of Judgment.

14. And what can tell you what the Day of Judgment is?

15. On that day, how terrible for those who called it a lie!

16. Didn't We destroy the earlier people?

17. Then We followed them with others.

18. That's how We deal with the wrongdoers.

19. On that day, how terrible for those who called it a lie!

20. Didn't We create you from a small drop of water?

21. Then We placed it safely in a protected place.

22. For a set amount of time.

23. We decided everything perfectly — We are the best at deciding.

24. On that day, how terrible for those who called it a lie!

25. Didn't We make the earth a gathering place.

26. For the living and the dead.

27. And We placed firm, tall mountains on it, and gave you sweet water to drink?

28. On that day, how terrible for those who called it a lie!

29. Go now to what you used to say wasn't true!

30. Go to a shadow with three parts.

31. It doesn't give shade or protect from flames.

32. It throws sparks like a palace.

33. Like big yellow camels.

34. On that day, how terrible for those who called it a lie!

35. This is the day, they won't speak.

36. And they won't be allowed to apologize.

37. On that day, how terrible for those who called it a lie!

38. This is the Day of Judgment. We've gathered you and those before you.

39. If you have any tricks, try them now against Me!

40. On that day, how terrible for those who called it a lie!

41. Those careful to obey Allah will be in cool shade and near flowing springs.

42. And they'll have tasty fruits — whatever they wish for.

43. "Eat and drink happily, because of the good things you did."

44. That's how We reward those who do good.

45. On that day, how terrible for those who called it a lie!

46. Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little while — you are wrongdoers.

47. On that day, how terrible for those who called it a lie!

48. When they're told, "Bow down," they don't bow down.

49. On that day, how terrible for those who called it a lie!

50. After this, what message will they believe in?
