In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. We sent Noah to his people, saying, "Warn your people before a painful punishment comes to them."

2. Noah said, "My people, I'm a clear warner to you.

3. Worship Allah, respect Him, and obey me.

4. He'll forgive your sins and give you time until a set day. When Allah's time comes, it can't be delayed — if only you knew."

5. Noah said, "My Lord, I called my people night and day.

6. But the more I called them, the more they ran away.

7. Every time I called them so You could forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their clothes, and became stubborn and very proud.

8. Then I called them loudly.

9. Then I spoke to them openly, and also talked to them quietly in secret.

10. I said, 'Ask your Lord to forgive you — He always forgives.

11. He'll send down lots of rain from the sky for you.

12. He'll give you more money and children, and He'll make beautiful gardens and rivers for you.

13. Why don't you respect Allah as you should?

14. He created you step by step.

15. Don't you see how Allah created seven skies, one above the other?

16. He put the moon there as a gentle light and made the sun a bright lamp.

17. Allah made you grow from the earth like plants.

18. Then He'll return you to the earth, and later He'll bring you out again.

19. Allah made the earth spread out for you.

20. So you can travel easily on its wide paths.'"

21. Noah said, "My Lord, they disobeyed me and followed people whose money and children only made them lose more.

22. They made big, tricky plans.

23. They said, 'Don't leave your gods — don't leave Wadd, Suwaa, Yaghooth, Ya'ooq, or Nasr.'

24. They've led many people away from the right path. My Lord, only let these wrongdoers become more lost."

25. Because of their mistakes, they were drowned and put into the Fire. They couldn't find anyone besides Allah to help them.

26. Noah said, "My Lord, don't leave any disbelievers living on the earth.

27. If You leave them, they'll lead Your servants away from You, and they'll only have children who do bad things and don't believe.

28. My Lord, forgive me, my parents, everyone who enters my home as a believer, and all believing men and women. And only let the wrongdoers become more ruined."
