In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. The Sure Truth.

2. What is the Sure Truth?

3. And what can help you understand what the Sure Truth is?

4. Thamud and Aad didn't believe in the loud, crashing event.

5. Thamud were destroyed by a terrible disaster.

6. And Aad were destroyed by a fierce, roaring wind.

7. Allah sent the wind against them for seven nights and eight days, nonstop. You could see the people lying there, fallen down, like hollow trunks of palm trees.

8. Can you see anyone left from them now?

9. Pharaoh, those before him, and the overturned cities also did something very wrong.

10. They disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He punished them strongly.

11. When the water rose high, We carried you in the floating ship.

12. We made this a lesson for you, so listening ears can remember it.

13. Then, when the trumpet is blown once.

14. And the earth and mountains are lifted, and crushed with a single blow.

15. On that day, the great event will happen.

16. The sky will split open, and it will become weak that day.

17. Angels will be standing at its edges, and eight angels will carry your Lord's throne above them on that day.

18. On that day, you'll all be brought forward, and nothing about you will be hidden.

19. Then, whoever is given their book in their right hand will happily say, "Here, read my book!

20. I was sure I would meet my account!"

21. So they'll have a joyful life.

22. In a beautiful, high garden.

23. With fruits hanging close for them to pick.

24. They'll be told, "Eat and drink happily, because of the good things you did in the days before."

25. But whoever is given their book in their left hand will sadly say, "Oh, I wish I'd never gotten my book.

26. And never knew what my record was!

27. I wish it had been the end!

28. My money can't help me now.

29. My power is gone from me."

30. Allah will say, "Take him and tie him up.

31. Then throw him into the burning fire.

32. Then tie him with a chain seventy arms long.

33. He didn't believe in Allah, the Great.

34. And he didn't encourage feeding poor people.

35. Today, he has no friend here.

36. And nothing to eat except disgusting food.

37. Which only those who did wrong will eat."

38. I promise by what you can see.

39. And by what you can't see.

40. It is truly the word of a noble messenger.

41. It's not the words of a poet — how little you believe!

42. And it's not the words of a fortune-teller — how little you remember!

43. It's sent down from the Lord of everyone and everything.

44. If he had made up words about Us.

45. We would have grabbed him strongly.

46. Then cut off his life artery.

47. And none of you could have stopped Us.

48. This Quran is a lesson for those careful to obey Allah.

49. And We know some of you don't believe it.

50. It is a regret for those who don't believe.

51. And it's the complete truth.

52. So praise the name of your Great Lord.
