In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. Blessed is the One Who holds all power in His hands, and He can do anything.

2. He created death and life to test you, to see who does the best deeds. And He is the Mighty, the Forgiving.

3. He created seven heavens, one above the other. You won't see any mistakes in what the Most Merciful created. Look carefully — do you see any cracks?

4. Then look again, and again. Your eyes will come back tired, finding nothing wrong.

5. We decorated the nearest sky with shining lamps, and made them missiles to drive away devils. And We prepared a painful punishment for them.

6. And for those who don't believe in their Lord, there's the punishment of Hellfire. What a terrible place to end up!

7. When they're thrown into it, they'll hear it roaring loudly as it boils.

8. It almost bursts with anger. Every time a group is thrown in, the guards ask them, "Didn't someone come to warn you?"

9. They say, "Yes, someone did come to warn us, but we didn't believe. We said, 'Allah didn't send down anything. You're just completely lost.'"

10. And they say, "If only we had listened or understood, we wouldn't be among the people of the burning fire."

11. So they admit their mistakes. Now, away with the people of the burning fire!

12. Those who respect their Lord even though they can't see Him will have forgiveness and a big reward.

13. Whether you speak secretly or out loud, He knows what's hidden inside your hearts.

14. Doesn't He know best, since He's the One Who created you? And He is the Gentle, the All-Aware.

15. He made the earth easy for you to live on, so walk in its paths, and eat from what He provides. And to Him you'll return.

16. Do you feel safe from the One in the sky, that He won't make the earth swallow you up? Then suddenly, it would shake and move!

17. Or do you feel safe from the One in the sky, that He won't send a storm of stones on you? Soon you'll know how serious My warning is!

18. People before them didn't believe either. And how terrible was My punishment!

19. Haven't they seen the birds flying above them, spreading their wings and folding them? No one holds them up except the Most Kind. He sees everything clearly.

20. Who is there to help you like an army, besides the Most Kind? Those who don't believe are only fooling themselves.

21. Who will give you food and everything you need, if He stops giving it to you? But they keep on being stubborn and turning away.

22. Who is better guided: someone who walks with his face down, or someone who walks straight on the right path?

23. Say, "He is the One Who created you, and gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. But you hardly ever thank Him."

24. Say, "He is the One Who placed you all over the earth, and you'll all be gathered back to Him."

25. They ask, "When will this promise come true, if you're telling the truth?"

26. Say, "Only Allah knows when it will happen. I am just here to clearly warn you."

27. When they finally see it coming close, the faces of those who didn't believe will look sad and worried. They'll be told, "This is what you kept asking for!"

28. Say, "Think about this: if Allah destroys me and those with me, or if He shows us kindness, who will save those who don't believe from a painful punishment?"

29. Say, "He is the Most Kind. We believe in Him, and we trust Him. Soon you'll know who is clearly lost."

30. Say, "Think about this: if your water suddenly disappeared deep underground, who could bring you flowing water?"
