In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. When the big event happens.

2. No one can say it's not true.

3. It will bring some people down and lift others up.

4. When the earth shakes strongly.

5. And the mountains crumble into pieces.

6. Turning into scattered dust.

7. Then you'll be in three groups.

8. The people on the right — Who are the people on the right?

9. And the people on the left — who are the people on the left?

10. And those who are ahead — they're the ones who are ahead!

11. They're the ones closest to Allah.

12. In gardens of happiness.

13. Many of them are from earlier times.

14. And a few from later times.

15. They'll sit on decorated couches.

16. Relaxing and facing each other.

17. Young helpers who never grow old will go around serving them.

18. With cups, pitchers, and a special drink from a flowing spring.

19. It won't give them headaches or make them drunk.

20. They'll have tasty fruits, whatever they choose.

21. And delicious meat from birds, whatever they wish for.

22. And special friends with beautiful eyes.

23. Like hidden pearls.

24. As a reward for what they used to do.

25. They won't hear any useless talk or sinful speech there.

26. Only the words: "Peace, peace!"

27. And the people on the right — how wonderful are the people on the right!

28. They'll be among thornless trees.

29. And banana trees with bunches of fruit.

30. And wide, cool shade.

31. And flowing water.

32. And lots of fruits.

33. That never run out or get taken away.

34. And raised beds.

35. We created their friends in a special way.

36. And made them virgins.

37. Loving and of the same age.

38. For the people on the right.

39. Many of them are from earlier times.

40. And many from later times.

41. And the people on the left — who are the people on the left?

42. They'll be in hot winds and boiling water.

43. And dark smoke as shade.

44. Not cool and not pleasant.

45. Before this, they lived in luxury.

46. And kept doing very bad things.

47. They used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, will we really be brought back to life?

48. And our ancestors from long ago too?"

49. Say, "Yes, the people from earlier times and later times.

50. Will all be gathered together on a special day."

51. Then you, who went astray and denied.

52. Will eat from the tree of Zaqqum.

53. Filling your stomachs with it.

54. Then you'll drink on top of it boiling water.

55. Drinking like very thirsty camels.

56. This is their hospitality on the Day of Judgment.

57. We created you, so why don't you believe?

58. Have you thought about the tiny drop you come from?

59. Did you create it, or did We create it?

60. We have decided that all of you will die, and no one can escape or stop Us.

61. We can replace you with others like you, and create you again in ways you don't even know.

62. You already know how We created you the first time. Why won't you think about it?

63. Have you thought about the seeds you plant?

64. Do you make them grow, or do We make them grow?

65. If We wanted, We could turn your plants into dry, broken pieces, and you'd be left wondering.

66. "We're ruined!

67. We've lost everything!"

68. Have you thought about the water you drink?

69. Did you send it down from the clouds, or did We send it down?

70. If We wanted, We could make it salty and bitter, so why aren't you thankful?

71. Have you thought about the fire you light?

72. Did you make the tree that gives you fire, or did We make it?

73. We made fire to remind you of Our power, and to help travelers and people in need.

74. So praise the name of your Great Lord.

75. Now, I swear by the places where the stars appear.

76. And that's a very big promise, if you only knew.

77. This is a noble Quran.

78. Kept safe in a protected book.

79. Only those who are pure can touch it.

80. It was sent down by the Lord of everyone and everything.

81. Do you take this message lightly?

82. And do you turn your blessings into saying, "It's not true"?

83. Then why, when someone's soul reaches their throat.

84. And you're standing there watching.

85. And We're closer to that person than you are, but you can't see Us.

86. If you really think you won't be judged.

87. Why don't you bring that soul back, if you're telling the truth?

88. Now, if the person who dies was close to Allah.

89. They'll have comfort, sweet smells, and a garden of happiness.

90. And if the person was one of those who did good things.

91. They'll be greeted with peace by others who did good things.

92. But if the person was one of those who didn't believe and lost their way.

93. Their welcome will be boiling water.

94. And they'll enter a burning fire.

95. All of this is completely true.

96. So praise the name of your Great Lord.
