In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. By the winds that blow gently.

2. And the clouds carrying heavy rain.

3. And the ships sailing smoothly.

4. And the angels who carefully carry out Allah's commands.

5. What you're promised is true.

6. And the Day of Judgment will surely happen.

7. By the sky, beautifully made with patterns.

8. You all say different things about it.

9. Only those who turn away from the truth are fooled.

10. Those who guess and lie are ruined.

11. Those who don't pay attention and forget what's important.

12. They ask, "When will the Day of Judgment come?"

13. It will be the day they're tested by the Fire.

14. They'll be told, "Feel this punishment! This is what you were rushing to see!"

15. Those who are careful to obey Allah will be in beautiful gardens with flowing springs.

16. They'll happily take what their Lord gives them, because before this, they always did good things.

17. They slept only a little at night.

18. And before dawn, they asked Allah to forgive them.

19. And from their money, they always gave a share to help the poor and needy.

20. On the earth, there are clear signs for those who believe strongly.

21. And even inside yourselves — don't you see?

22. In the sky is your food and everything you're promised.

23. By the Lord of the sky and the earth, this is true — as sure as the fact that you speak.

24. Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests?

25. When they came to him, they said, "Peace!" He replied, "Peace! You're strangers to me."

26. Then he quietly went to his family and brought back a roasted calf.

27. He placed it close to them and said, "Won't you eat?"

28. He felt a little afraid of them. They said, "Don't be afraid!" And they gave him good news of a wise son.

29. His wife came forward, surprised, and touched her face, saying, "But I'm an old woman who can't have children!"

30. They said, "That's what your Lord said. He is the Wise, and He knows everything."

31. Abraham asked, "What's your mission, messengers?"

32. They answered, "We were sent to people who did bad things.

33. So We throw stones of clay at them.

34. These stones are marked by your Lord for those who cross the limits."

35. So We brought out all the believers who lived there.

36. But We found only one family who obeyed Allah.

37. And We left a clear sign there for those who fear painful punishment.

38. And remember Moses, when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear proof.

39. But Pharaoh turned away proudly and said, "He's a magician or a crazy man!"

40. So We took Pharaoh and his soldiers and threw them into the sea, and he was to blame.

41. And remember the people of Aad, when We sent a terrible wind against them.

42. It destroyed everything it touched, leaving it like old, broken pieces.

43. And remember the people of Thamud, when they were told, "Enjoy yourselves for a little while."

44. But they disobeyed their Lord's command, so lightning struck them while they watched.

45. They couldn't even stand up, and no one could help them.

46. And remember Noah's people before them — they were people who disobeyed Allah.

47. We built the sky with strength, and We keep making it bigger.

48. And We spread out the earth — how wonderfully We prepared it!

49. And We created pairs of everything, so you can remember and understand.

50. So hurry back to Allah! I'm a clear warner from Him to you.

51. And don't worship any other god along with Allah. I'm a clear warner from Him to you.

52. Every messenger who came before was called a magician or a crazy man.

53. Did they tell each other to say this? No, they're just people who cross the limits.

54. So turn away from them — you're not to blame.

55. But keep reminding people, because reminders help the believers.

56. I created jinn and humans only to worship Me.

57. I don't want them to give Me food, or anything else.

58. Allah is the One Who gives everything. He's strong and firm.

59. Those who do wrong will get punishment, just like the punishment of those before them, so they shouldn't rush it.

60. How terrible that Day will be for those who disbelieve — the Day they've been promised!
