In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.
1. Believers, don't put yourselves ahead of Allah and His Messenger. Be respectful to Allah. Allah hears everything and knows everything.
2. Believers, don't raise your voices louder than the Prophet's voice. Don't speak loudly to him, like you speak loudly to each other. If you do, your deeds might disappear without you even noticing.
3. Those who lower their voices when they're with Allah's Messenger — they're the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for doing good. They'll have forgiveness and a wonderful reward.
4. Those who call out to you loudly from outside your rooms — most of them don't understand.
5. If they waited patiently until you came out to them, it would be better for them. Allah is forgiving and kind.
6. Believers, if someone who doesn't behave well brings you news, check carefully first. Otherwise, you might hurt people by mistake, and then feel sorry for what you've done.
7. Remember, Allah's Messenger is among you. If he listened to you in many things, you'd have trouble. But Allah made you love believing, and He made it beautiful in your hearts. And He made you dislike disbelief, bad behavior, and disobeying. Those are the ones who follow the right path.
8. This is a kindness and blessing from Allah. Allah knows everything and is very wise.
9. If two groups of believers start fighting, help them make peace. But if one group keeps hurting the other unfairly, then stop the group that's hurting others, until they return to Allah's way. If they return, make peace between them fairly, and always be fair. Allah loves those who are fair.
10. Believers are brothers and sisters, so always make peace between your brothers and sisters. Be respectful to Allah, so you may receive His kindness.
11. Believers, don't make fun of other people — they might be better than you. And girls, don't make fun of other girls — they might be better than you. Don't say mean things about each other, and don't call each other hurtful nicknames. It's very bad to be called a wrongdoer after you believe. Whoever doesn't repent is doing wrong.
12. Believers, stay away from guessing bad things about others, because some guesses are wrong and hurtful. Don't spy on each other, and don't say bad things about someone behind their back. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? No, you'd hate it! So be careful to obey Allah. Allah is always ready to forgive those who repent, and He is very kind.
13. People, We created you from a male and a female, and We made you into different groups and families, so you can get to know each other. The best of you to Allah are the ones who obey Him the most. Allah knows everything, and He sees everything clearly.
14. Some desert people say, "We believe." Tell them, "You don't really believe yet. Instead, say, 'We have accepted Islam,' because true belief hasn't entered your hearts yet. But if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He won't take away any of your deeds. Allah forgives and is very kind."
15. True believers are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger, then never doubt, and try their best with their money and their lives for Allah. Those are the ones who are truthful.
16. Say, "Are you trying to teach Allah about your religion? Allah knows everything in the heavens and on the earth. Allah knows all things."
17. They act like they're doing you a favor by accepting Islam. Say, "Don't think you're doing me a favor by accepting Islam. Instead, it's Allah Who has done you a favor by guiding you to believe, if you're really telling the truth."
18. Allah knows all the hidden things in the heavens and the earth. And Allah sees clearly everything you do.
