In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. Ha. Meem.

2. By the clear Book.

3. We sent it down on a blessed night. We always warn people.

4. On that night, every wise matter is decided.

5. By Our command. We always send messengers.

6. As a kindness from your Lord. He hears everything and knows everything.

7. He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and everything between them, if you really believe.

8. There is no god except Him. He gives life and causes death. He is your Lord and the Lord of your earliest ancestors.

9. But they keep playing around, full of doubt.

10. So wait for the day when the sky brings clear smoke.

11. Covering all the people. This is a painful punishment.

12. They will say, "Our Lord, please take away this punishment — we believe now!"

13. How can they remember now? A clear messenger already came to them.

14. But they turned away from him and said, "He's taught by someone else, and he's crazy!"

15. We'll take away the punishment for a little while, but you'll go back to your old ways.

16. On the day We give the greatest punishment, We will surely punish them.

17. Before them, We tested Pharaoh's people. A noble messenger came to them.

18. Saying, "Give Allah's servants back to me. I'm a trustworthy messenger sent to you.

19. Don't act proudly against Allah. I've brought you clear proof.

20. I've asked my Lord and your Lord to protect me, so you won't hurt me.

21. If you don't believe me, then leave me alone."

22. Then he prayed to his Lord, "These people are doing evil."

23. Allah said, "Take My servants away secretly at night. You'll be followed.

24. Leave the sea calm and open. Pharaoh's army will be drowned."

25. How many gardens and springs they left behind!

26. And fields, and beautiful homes.

27. And wonderful things they enjoyed happily.

28. That's how it was. And We gave all those things to other people.

29. The sky and the earth didn't cry for them, and they weren't given more time.

30. We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating punishment.

31. From Pharaoh — he was proud and went too far.

32. And We chose them, knowingly, above all people.

33. We gave them many signs that were clear tests.

34. Yet these people now say.

35. "There's only our first death, and we won't come back to life again.

36. If you're telling the truth, then bring back our ancestors!"

37. Are these people better, or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, because they were wrongdoers.

38. We didn't create the skies and the earth and everything between them just for fun.

39. We created them only for a true reason, but most people don't understand.

40. The Day of Judgment is the time set for all of them.

41. On that day, no friend can help another friend, and no one will be helped.

42. Except those Allah shows kindness to. He is the Mighty, the Most Kind.

43. The tree of Zaqqum.

44. Is the food for the sinner.

45. It boils in their stomachs like hot melted metal.

46. Like scalding boiling water.

47. "Take him and drag him into the middle of the Fire.

48. Then pour boiling water over his head.

49. Taste this — you thought you were strong and important!

50. This is what you used to doubt."

51. Those who are careful to obey Allah will be in a safe and happy place.

52. In beautiful gardens with flowing springs.

53. They'll wear soft silk clothes, sitting face to face.

54. That's how it will be, and We will give them beautiful-eyed companions.

55. There they'll ask for every kind of fruit, feeling safe and happy.

56. They won't taste death there, except the first death. And Allah will protect them from the punishment of the Fire.

57. This is a gift from your Lord — that's the greatest success.

58. We made the Quran easy in your language, so they might remember.

59. So wait and watch — they're also waiting and watching.
