In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. By those angels who stand in neat rows.

2. And those who push forward with strength.

3. And those who recite Allah's message.

4. Your God is One.

5. He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, and the Lord of the sunrises.

6. We decorated the nearest sky with beautiful stars.

7. And protected it from every defiant devil.

8. They can't secretly listen to the angels high above, and they're chased away from every side.

9. They're thrown far away, and they'll have a lasting punishment.

10. Except the one who quickly tries to listen — but a bright shooting star follows him.

11. So ask them: "Is it harder to create them, or the others We created?" We created them from sticky clay.

12. But you're amazed, while they laugh.

13. When they're reminded, they don't pay attention.

14. And when they see a sign, they make fun of it.

15. They say, "This is just clear magic!"

16. "When we die and become dust and bones, will we really come back to life?"

17. "And our parents from long ago too?"

18. Say, "Yes, and you'll be made humble."

19. It will be just one loud shout — then suddenly they'll be awake and looking around.

20. They'll say, "Oh no! This is the Day of Judgment!"

21. "This is the Day when everything is decided, the Day you used to deny."

22. "Gather those who did wrong, and their friends, and the things they worshiped."

23. "Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path of the Fire."

24. "Stop them — they'll be asked questions."

25. "What's wrong? Why aren't you helping each other?"

26. But today, they're giving up.

27. They'll turn to each other, asking questions.

28. They'll say, "You used to come to us from the right."

29. The others will answer, "No, you didn't believe yourselves."

30. "We had no power over you. You were people who went too far."

31. "Now our Lord's words have come true — we'll surely taste punishment."

32. "We led you the wrong way, because we ourselves were lost."

33. On that Day, they'll all share the punishment.

34. That's how We treat those who do wrong.

35. When they were told, "There is no god except Allah," they acted proudly.

36. They said, "Should we leave our gods for a crazy poet?"

37. But he brought the truth, and he agreed with the messengers before him.

38. You'll surely taste a painful punishment.

39. You'll only get what you used to do.

40. Except Allah's special servants.

41. They'll have a wonderful reward.

42. Delicious fruits — and they'll be treated with honor.

43. In beautiful gardens of happiness.

44. Sitting on couches, facing each other.

45. They'll be served cups filled from a flowing spring.

46. Clear and white, delicious for those who drink.

47. It won't hurt them, and they won't feel dizzy from it.

48. And with them will be kind companions with beautiful eyes.

49. Like precious, protected eggs.

50. They'll turn to each other, asking questions.

51. One of them will say, "I used to have a friend.

52. Who would say, 'Are you really one of those who believe?

53. That after we die and become dust and bones, will we really be judged?'"

54. He will say, "Would you like to look?"

55. Then he'll look and see his friend in the middle of the Fire.

56. He'll say, "By Allah, you almost made me lose my way!

57. If it wasn't for my Lord's blessing, I would have been brought here too.

58. Now, won't we ever die again?

59. Except for our first death. And we will never be punished again!

60. This is the greatest success!

61. For something like this, let people work hard.

62. Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum?

63. We made that tree a test for those who do wrong.

64. It's a tree that grows from the bottom of the Fire.

65. Its fruits look like the heads of devils.

66. They'll eat from it, and fill their bellies with it.

67. Then they'll have boiling hot water to drink with it.

68. After that, they'll return to the Fire.

69. They found their parents going the wrong way.

70. So they hurried after them.

71. Most people before them also lost their way.

72. We sent messengers to warn them.

73. So see what happened to those who didn't listen to the warnings.

74. Except for Allah's true servants.

75. Noah called out to Us, and We answered him in the best way.

76. We saved him and his family from a great trouble.

77. We made his descendants those who remained.

78. We made sure that people remembered him.

79. Peace be upon Noah among all people!

80. That's how We reward those who do good.

81. He was truly one of Our believing servants.

82. Then We drowned all the others.

83. And Abraham was one of Noah's followers.

84. He came to his Lord with a pure heart.

85. He asked his father and his people, "What are you worshiping?

86. Do you really want false gods instead of Allah?

87. What do you think about the Lord of everyone and everything?"

88. Then he looked up at the stars.

89. And said, "I'm feeling sick."

90. So they turned away and left him alone.

91. Then he quietly went to their idols and said, "Why don't you eat?

92. What's wrong with you? Why don't you speak?"

93. Then he hit them with his right hand.

94. The people came running quickly toward him.

95. He said, "Do you worship things you carve yourselves?

96. While Allah created you and everything you make?"

97. They said, "Build a big fire for him, and throw him into it!"

98. They wanted to hurt him, but We made them the lowest.

99. Abraham said, "I'm going to my Lord. He will guide me.

100. My Lord, please give me good children."

101. So We gave him good news of a gentle, patient boy.

102. When the boy was old enough to help his father, Abraham said, "My dear son, I saw in a dream that I must sacrifice you. Tell me, what do you think?" His son replied, "Father, do what you're told. Allah willing, you'll find me patient."

103. When they both obeyed Allah, and Abraham laid his son down on his forehead.

104. We called out to him, "Abraham!

105. You've fulfilled the dream." This is how We reward those who do good.

106. This was truly a clear test.

107. We gave him a great animal to sacrifice instead.

108. And We made sure people remembered him in later times.

109. "Peace be upon Abraham!"

110. This is how We reward those who do good.

111. He was truly one of Our believing servants.

112. And We gave Abraham good news of Isaac — a prophet who would be one of the good people.

113. We blessed Abraham and Isaac. Some of their children did good, and some hurt themselves by doing wrong.

114. And We were kind to Moses and Aaron.

115. We saved them and their people from great distress.

116. We helped them, so they became the winners.

117. We gave them the clear Book.

118. And We guided them to the straight path.

119. And We made sure people remembered them in later times.

120. "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!"

121. This is how We reward those who do good.

122. They were truly among Our believing servants.

123. And Elijah was also one of Our messengers.

124. He said to his people, "Won't you be careful to obey Allah?

125. Do you pray to Baal and leave the Best Creator?

126. Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your earliest fathers."

127. But they didn't believe him, so they'll surely be brought to judgment.

128. Except for Allah's sincere servants.

129. And We made sure people remembered him in later times.

130. "Peace be upon Elijah!"

131. This is how We reward those who do good.

132. He was truly one of Our believing servants.

133. And Lot was also one of Our messengers.

134. We saved him and all his family.

135. Except an old woman who stayed behind.

136. Then We destroyed the others.

137. You pass by their ruins in the morning.

138. And at night. Won't you understand?

139. And Jonah was also one of Our messengers.

140. He ran away to a fully loaded ship.

141. He cast lots, and he lost.

142. Then a whale swallowed him, while he was blameworthy.

143. If he hadn't praised Allah.

144. He would've stayed in the whale's belly until the Day people come back to life.

145. But We threw him onto the shore, and he was sick.

146. And We made a pumpkin plant grow over him.

147. Then We sent him to a hundred thousand people — or even more.

148. They believed, so We let them enjoy life for a while.

149. Ask them, "Does your Lord have daughters, while they have sons?"

150. Or did We create the angels as girls, while they were watching?

151. For sure, they are making things up when they say.

152. "Allah has children." But they are lying.

153. Did He choose daughters instead of sons?

154. What's wrong with you? How do you decide these things?

155. Won't you remember and think carefully?

156. Or do you have clear proof?

157. Then bring your book, if you're telling the truth.

158. They made up a family connection between Allah and the jinn, but the jinn know that they'll be brought to Allah.

159. Allah is far above the things they say about Him.

160. Except for Allah's chosen servants.

161. Surely, you and what you worship.

162. You can't lead anyone away from Him.

163. Except those who will enter the Fire.

164. Each of us has a known place.

165. And we stand in neat rows.

166. And we always praise Allah.

167. They used to say.

168. "If only we had a message from the people before us.

169. We would have been Allah's special servants."

170. But when the message came, they refused to believe it, so soon they'll know.

171. Our word has already been given to Our servant messengers.

172. They will surely be helped.

173. And Our forces will surely win.

174. So leave them alone for a while.

175. And watch them. Soon they will see.

176. Do they really want Our punishment to hurry up?

177. When it comes to their homes, it will be a terrible morning for those who were warned.

178. So leave them alone for a while.

179. And watch. Soon they will see.

180. Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of honor, far above what they say about Him.

181. And peace be upon the messengers.

182. And all praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
