In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.

1. Ya. Seen.

2. By the wise Quran.

3. You are truly one of Allah's messengers.

4. You are on a straight path.

5. This Quran comes from the Mighty and Kind Allah.

6. It was sent so you can warn people whose parents weren't warned before, so they don't realize.

7. Most of them won't believe, because Allah's word about them has come true.

8. We put chains around their necks, right up to their chins, so their heads are lifted up.

9. And We put a wall in front of them, and a wall behind them, and covered their eyes, so they can't see.

10. It doesn't matter if you warn them or not — they won't believe.

11. You can only warn those who follow Allah's message and respect the Most Kind Allah even when they can't see Him. So give them good news of forgiveness and a wonderful reward.

12. We bring the dead back to life, and We write down everything they've done, and the marks they've left behind. We keep track of everything in a clear record.

13. Tell them the story of the people in the town, when Allah's messengers came to them.

14. We sent two messengers to them, but the people didn't believe them. Then We sent a third messenger to help. They all said, "We are messengers sent to you."

15. The people said, "You're just humans like us. The Most Kind Allah hasn't sent anything. You're only telling lies."

16. The messengers said, "Our Lord knows that we really are messengers sent to you."

17. "Our only job is to clearly deliver Allah's message."

18. The people said, "We think you're bringing us bad luck. If you don't stop, we'll throw stones at you, and you'll feel terrible pain from us."

19. The messengers replied, "Your bad luck comes from yourselves. Is it because you're reminded of the truth? No, you're people who go too far."

20. Then a man came running from the farthest part of the city. He said, "My people, follow the messengers!"

21. "Follow those who don't ask you for any reward, and who are guided to the right way."

22. "Why shouldn't I worship the One Who created me? And you'll all return to Him."

23. "Should I worship others instead of Him? If the Most Merciful wants to harm me, their help won't do me any good, and they can't save me."

24. "If I did that, I'd clearly be lost."

25. "I believe in your Lord, so listen to me."

26. He was told, "Enter Paradise." He said, "I wish my people knew."

27. "How my Lord forgave me, and made me honored."

28. After him, We didn't send any army from the sky against his people, and We didn't need to.

29. It was just one loud shout, and suddenly they were silent and still.

30. How sad for people! Whenever a messenger comes to them, they just make fun of him.

31. Don't they see how many people before them We destroyed? Those people will never come back to them.

32. And everyone will be brought in front of Us.

33. A clear sign for them is the dry earth. We bring it to life and grow grain from it, and they eat from it.

34. We made gardens with date palms and grapevines there, and We made springs flow in them.

35. So they can eat its fruits. They did not make these fruits with their own hands. Won't they be thankful?

36. Glory to the One Who created all things in pairs — plants from the earth, people themselves, and even things they don't know about.

37. Another sign for them is the night. We peel away the daylight from it, and they're in darkness.

38. And the sun moves along its path to its resting place. That's the plan of the Mighty, the All-Knowing.

39. And We set stages for the moon, until it becomes thin and curved, like an old palm branch.

40. The sun can't catch up to the moon, and the night can't come before the day. Each one floats along in its own path.

41. Another sign for them is that We carried their descendants in a loaded ship.

42. And We created other things like it for them to ride.

43. If We wanted, We could drown them. Then no one would hear their cries, and no one could save them.

44. Except because of Our kindness, and to let them enjoy life for a while.

45. When they're told, "Be careful about what's in front of you and what's behind you, so you can receive Allah's kindness."

46. They turn away from every sign their Lord sends them.

47. And when they're told, "Give to others from what Allah has given you," the disbelievers say to the believers, "Should we feed someone that Allah could feed Himself if He wanted? You're clearly making a big mistake!"

48. They also say, "When will this promise come true, if you're telling the truth?"

49. They're only waiting for one loud shout — it will catch them suddenly while they're busy arguing.

50. Then they won't have time to say any last words, or even go back to their families.

51. The trumpet will be blown, and suddenly, they'll rush out of their graves to meet their Lord.

52. They'll say, "Oh no! Who woke us up from our resting place?" This is what the Most Kind promised, and the messengers told the truth.

53. It will only take one loud shout, and suddenly, they'll all be brought before Us.

54. Today, no one will be treated unfairly, and you'll only get what you earned.

55. Today, the people of Paradise are having lots of fun.

56. They and their spouses are relaxing on soft couches in cool shade.

57. They'll have fruits there, and anything else they wish for.

58. They'll hear "Peace!" — a greeting from their Merciful Lord.

59. But today, you who did wrong, step aside!

60. Didn't I tell you clearly, children of Adam, not to worship Satan? He's clearly your enemy.

61. And didn't I tell you to worship Me? This is the straight path.

62. Satan led many of you astray. Didn't you think?

63. This is Hellfire, the one you were warned about.

64. Today, enter it, because you refused to believe.

65. Today, We'll seal their mouths shut. Their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will tell what they used to do.

66. If We wanted, We could completely take away their eyesight, and they'd struggle to find the path — but how could they see?

67. And if We wanted, We could change them right where they stand, so they couldn't move forward or go back.

68. Whoever We let live a long life, We reverse them in creation. Don't they understand?

69. We didn't teach him poetry, and poetry isn't right for him. This is only a reminder and a clear Quran.

70. To warn everyone who's truly alive, and to prove the truth against those who disbelieve.

71. Don't they see that We created animals for them with care, and so they own them?

72. We made these animals gentle for them — some they ride, and some they eat.

73. They get many good things and drinks from them. So why aren't they thankful?

74. But they chose other gods instead of Allah, hoping those gods would help them.

75. Those gods can't help them at all. Instead, their worshipers will be gathered for them as an army.

76. So don't let their words make you sad. We know everything they hide and everything they show.

77. Doesn't the human being see that We created him from a tiny drop? But now he's arguing openly against Us!

78. He gives Us an example, forgetting how he was created. He says, "Who can bring bones back to life after they've turned to dust?"

79. Say, "The One Who made them the first time will bring them back to life. He knows everything about all creation."

80. He's the One Who made fire for you from green trees, so you light fires with it.

81. Isn't the One Who created the heavens and the earth able to create people like them again? Yes, He can! He is the Creator Who knows everything.

82. When He wants something to happen, He just says, "Be!" and it happens.

83. So glory to the One Who holds everything in His hand. And to Him you'll all return.
