In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

1. By the dawn.

2. And by ten nights.

3. And by the even and the odd.

4. And by the night when it passes.

5. Is there not in that an oath for one of understanding?

6. Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with Aad.

7. Iram, the possessor of lofty pillars.

8. The like of which was never created in the lands.

9. And Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley.

10. And Pharaoh, owner of stakes.

11. Those who transgressed in the lands.

12. And multiplied corruption therein.

13. So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.

14. Truly, your Lord is ever watchful.

15. As for the human being, when his Lord tests him, honors him, and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."

16. But when He tests him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."

17. No; rather, you do not honor the orphan.

18. Nor do you encourage one another to feed the needy.

19. And you consume inheritance, devouring it greedily.

20. And you love wealth with immense love.

21. No; when the earth is crushed, crushing upon crushing.

22. And your Lord comes, and the angels, rank upon rank.

23. And Hellfire is brought forth on that Day — on that Day the human being will remember; but how will remembrance avail him?

24. He will say, "Oh, would that I had sent forth for my life!"

25. So on that Day, none will punish as He punishes.

26. And none will bind as He binds.

27. O soul at peace.

28. Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing.

29. So enter among My servants.

30. And enter My Paradise.
