In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

1. Say, "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened, and they said, 'We have heard a wondrous Quran.

2. It guides to right conduct, so we have believed in it; and we shall never associate anyone with our Lord.

3. And that exalted is the majesty of our Lord; He has taken neither a wife nor a child.

4. And that our foolish one used to speak outrageous falsehoods against Allah.

5. And that we had thought that humans and jinn would never utter lies against Allah.

6. And that certain men among humankind used to seek refuge with certain men among the jinn, so they increased them in burden.

7. And that they thought, as you thought, that Allah would never raise anyone.

8. And that we touched the heaven, but found it filled with strong guards and flaming meteors.

9. And that we used to sit there in positions for listening; but whoever listens now finds a flaming meteor awaiting him.

10. And that we do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends guidance for them.

11. And that among us are the righteous, and among us are others not so; we have been of diverse paths.

12. And that we thought we would never be able to escape Allah on earth, nor escape Him by fleeing.

13. And that when we heard the guidance, we believed in it; so whoever believes in his Lord fears neither deprivation nor burden.

14. And that among us are those who submit, and among us are the unjust; so whoever submits — those have sought right guidance.

15. But as for the unjust — they shall be firewood for Hell."

16. And had they remained firm upon the path, We would have given them abundant water to drink.

17. That We might test them therein; and whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will drive him into an ever-increasing punishment.

18. And that the places of worship belong to Allah; so do not call upon anyone along with Allah.

19. And that when the servant of Allah stood up calling upon Him, they almost crowded densely around him.

20. Say, "I only call upon my Lord, and I associate no one with Him."

21. Say, "I possess no power of harm or guidance for you."

22. Say, "Indeed, no one can protect me from Allah, nor will I find any refuge apart from Him.

23. Except for conveying from Allah and His messages; and whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger — for him is the fire of Hell, abiding therein forever."

24. Until, when they see what they are promised, they will know who is weaker in helpers and fewer in number.

25. Say, "I do not know whether what you are promised is near, or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term."

26. The Knower of the unseen — He does not disclose His unseen to anyone.

27. Except to a messenger whom He has approved; then indeed, He places before him and behind him observers.

28. That He may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them, and He has enumerated all things in number.
