In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

1. Certainly, We sent Noah to his people: "Warn your people before a painful punishment comes to them."

2. He said, "O my people, truly I am to you a clear warner.

3. Worship Allah, fear Him, and obey me.

4. He will forgive you of your sins and delay you until an appointed term; indeed, when Allah's appointed term comes, it cannot be delayed — if only you knew."

5. He said, "My Lord, surely I have called my people night and day.

6. But my calling has only increased them in flight.

7. And certainly, whenever I called them that You might forgive them, they placed their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were exceedingly arrogant.

8. Then truly, I called them openly.

9. Then surely, I proclaimed to them publicly and confided to them secretly.

10. Saying, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord; certainly, He is ever Forgiving.

11. He will send down upon you abundant rain from the sky.

12. And He will aid you with wealth and children, and make for you gardens, and make for you rivers.

13. What is the matter with you that you do not attribute to Allah due reverence.

14. While He has created you in stages?

15. Do you not see how Allah created seven heavens in layers.

16. And placed the moon therein as a light, and made the sun a lamp?

17. And Allah has caused you to grow forth from the earth as a growth.

18. Then He will return you into it, and bring you forth again.

19. And Allah has made for you the earth as an expanse.

20. That you may travel therein upon broad paths.'"

21. Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed those whose wealth and children have increased them in nothing but loss.

22. And they devised a tremendous plot.

23. And they said, 'Never abandon your gods; never abandon Wadd, nor Suwa, nor Yaghuth, Ya'uq, nor Nasr.'

24. And indeed, they have led many astray; so do not increase the wrongdoers except in error."

25. Because of their sins, they were drowned and made to enter a Fire, and they found no helpers for themselves besides Allah.

26. And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers a single inhabitant.

27. Surely, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and will not beget except wicked disbelievers.

28. My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house as a believer, and the believing men and believing women; and do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction."
