In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
1. The Inevitable Reality.
2. What is the Inevitable Reality?
3. And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Reality is?
4. Thamud and Aad denied the Striking Calamity.
5. As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overwhelming blast.
6. And as for Aad, they were destroyed by a furious, violent wind.
7. Which He imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively; so you would see the people therein fallen, as though they were hollow trunks of palm trees.
8. Then do you see any remnant of them?
9. And Pharaoh came, and those before him, and the overturned cities, with sin.
10. And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with an exceeding seizure.
11. Surely, when the waters overflowed, We carried you in the sailing ship.
12. That We might make it for you a reminder, and that attentive ears might retain it.
13. Then when the Trumpet is blown — a single blast.
14. And the earth and the mountains are lifted and crushed with a single crushing.
15. Then, on that Day, the Event will occur.
16. And the heaven will crack, so on that Day it will be fragile.
17. And the angels will be upon its edges, and eight will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, on that Day.
18. On that Day you will be presented; no hidden thing among you will remain concealed.
19. Then as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record!
20. Truly, I was certain that I would meet my reckoning."
21. So he will be in a pleasant life.
22. In an elevated Garden.
23. Its fruits hanging near.
24. "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you sent forth in days past."
25. But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, would that I had not been given my record.
26. Nor known what my reckoning was!
27. Oh, would that it had been the final end!
28. My wealth has not availed me.
29. My authority has perished from me."
30. "Seize him, then shackle him.
31. Then into Hellfire thrust him.
32. Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him."
33. Indeed, he did not believe in Allah, the Most Great.
34. Nor did he encourage feeding the needy.
35. So today he has no devoted friend here.
36. Nor any food except the discharge of wounds.
37. Which none eat except the sinners.
38. So I swear by what you see.
39. And by what you do not see.
40. Truly, it is the word of a noble messenger.
41. And it is not the word of a poet — little do you believe.
42. Nor the word of a soothsayer — little do you remember.
43. A revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
44. And if he had fabricated against Us some sayings.
45. We would surely have seized him by the right hand.
46. Then We would surely have severed his life-vein.
47. And none among you could have prevented it from him.
48. And indeed, it is a reminder for those mindful of Allah.
49. And indeed, We surely know that among you are deniers.
50. And indeed, it is a cause of regret for the disbelievers.
51. And indeed, it is the absolute truth of certainty.
52. So glorify the name of your Lord, the Most Great.
