In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

1. The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.

2. And if they see a sign, they turn away and say, "Continuous magic."

3. And they denied and followed their desires; yet every matter is settled.

4. And certainly there has come to them news wherein is deterrence.

5. Profound wisdom — but warnings avail not.

6. So turn away from them; on the Day the caller calls to something terrible.

7. Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were scattered locusts.

8. Hastening toward the caller; the disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day."

9. The people of Noah denied before them; they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled.

10. So he called upon his Lord, "I am overcome, so grant victory."

11. Then We opened the gates of the sky with pouring water.

12. And caused the earth to burst forth with springs; so the waters met for a matter already decreed.

13. And We carried him upon that of planks and nails.

14. Sailing under Our eyes — a recompense for one who had been denied.

15. And certainly We left it as a sign; so is there any who will remember?

16. So how were My punishment and My warnings?

17. And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance; so is there any who will remember?

18. Aad denied; so how were My punishment and My warnings?

19. Certainly We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune.

20. Plucking out people as if they were trunks of uprooted palm trees.

21. So how were My punishment and My warnings?

22. And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance; so is there any who will remember?

23. Thamud denied the warnings.

24. And they said, "Shall we follow a single human being from among us? Then surely we would be in error and madness.

25. Has the Reminder been cast upon him alone from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar."

26. Tomorrow they will know who is the insolent liar.

27. Surely We are sending the she-camel as a trial for them; so watch them and be patient.

28. And inform them that the water is to be divided between them; each drinking time will be attended.

29. But they called their companion, and he undertook and hamstrung.

30. So how was My punishment and My warnings?

31. Surely We sent upon them a single blast, and they became like dried twigs gathered for fencing.

32. And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance; so is there anyone who will remember?

33. The people of Lot denied the warnings.

34. Surely We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot; We saved them at dawn.

35. As a favor from Us; thus do We reward whoever is grateful.

36. And certainly he had warned them of Our seizure, but they disputed the warnings.

37. And certainly they sought to seduce him from his guests; so We obliterated their eyes. So taste My punishment and My warnings.

38. And certainly there came upon them early in the morning an abiding punishment.

39. So taste My punishment and My warnings.

40. And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance; so is there anyone who will remember?

41. And certainly warnings came to the family of Pharaoh.

42. They denied all Our signs; so We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent.

43. Are your disbelievers better than those, or have you exemption in the scriptures?

44. Or do they say, "We are an assembly victorious"?

45. The assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs.

46. Rather, the Hour is their appointed time, and the Hour is more grievous and more bitter.

47. Surely the criminals are in error and madness.

48. The Day they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces: "Taste the touch of Saqar."

49. Surely We have created everything by measure.

50. And Our command is but one — like the blink of an eye.

51. And certainly We have destroyed your likes; so is there anyone who will remember?

52. And everything they have done is in the scriptures.

53. And every small and great thing is recorded.

54. Surely the righteous will be amid gardens and rivers.

55. In a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent.
