In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
1. By those lined up in ranks.
2. And those who drive away with force.
3. And those who recite the Reminder.
4. Surely, your God is One.
5. Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sunrises.
6. Certainly, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment — the stars.
7. And as protection against every rebellious devil.
8. They cannot listen to the Highest Assembly, and they are pelted from every side.
9. Driven away; and for them is a perpetual punishment.
10. Except one who snatches a fragment — then a piercing flame pursues him.
11. So ask them: Are they more difficult to create, or those whom We created? Truly, We created them from sticky clay.
12. But you wonder, while they mock.
13. And when they are reminded, they do not remember.
14. And when they see a sign, they ridicule.
15. And they say, "This is nothing but clear magic.
16. When we have died and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be resurrected?
17. And our forefathers of old?"
18. Say, "Yes, and you will be humbled."
19. Then it will be only a single shout — and behold, they will be staring.
20. And they will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense."
21. "This is the Day of Separation, which you used to deny."
22. Gather those who did wrong, and their kinds, and whatever they used to worship.
23. Besides Allah, and lead them to the path of Hellfire.
24. And detain them; Surely, they will be questioned.
25. "What is the matter with you that you do not help one another?"
26. Rather, today they surrender.
27. And they will approach one another, questioning each other.
28. They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right."
29. They will reply, "Rather, you yourselves were not believers.
30. And we had no authority over you; rather, you were a transgressing people.
31. So the Word of our Lord has come true against us; truly, we shall taste.
32. Thus we led you astray; indeed, we ourselves were astray."
33. So surely, on that Day, they will share in the punishment.
34. Certainly, thus do We deal with the criminals.
35. Indeed, when it was said to them, "There is no god but Allah," they were arrogant.
36. And they would say, "Shall we abandon our gods for a mad poet?"
37. Rather, he has brought the truth and confirmed the messengers.
38. Certainly, you will taste the painful punishment.
39. And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.
40. Except for Allah's sincere servants.
41. For them is a known provision.
42. Fruits; and they will be honored.
43. In Gardens of Bliss.
44. Upon couches, facing one another.
45. A cup from a flowing spring will be passed around among them.
46. White, delicious to those who drink.
47. No harm is in it, nor will they be intoxicated by it.
48. And with them will be companions of modest gaze, with beautiful eyes.
49. As if they were hidden eggs.
50. Then they will approach one another, questioning each other.
51. A speaker from among them will say, "Truly, I had a companion.
52. Who would say, 'Are you really among those who affirm?
53. When we have died and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be brought to judgment?'"
54. He will say, "Would you look?"
55. So he will look and see him in the midst of Hellfire.
56. He will say, "By Allah, you nearly caused my ruin.
57. And were it not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been among those brought forth.
58. Then, are we not to die?
59. Except for our first death, and we will not be punished."
60. Truly, this is the supreme triumph.
61. For the like of this, let the workers work.
62. Is that a better hospitality, or the tree of Zaqqum?
63. Truly, We have made it a trial for the wrongdoers.
64. Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of Hellfire.
65. Its fruit is as if it were heads of devils.
66. And indeed, they will surely eat from it, and fill their bellies with it.
67. Then indeed, along with it, they will have a mixture of boiling water.
68. Then indeed, their return will be to Hellfire.
69. Truly, they found their fathers astray.
70. So they rushed eagerly, following in their footsteps.
71. And certainly, most of the earlier generations went astray before them.
72. And certainly, We sent among them warners.
73. So observe how was the end of those who were warned.
74. Except for the sincere servants of Allah.
75. And certainly, Noah called upon Us, and how excellent are We as responders.
76. And We saved him and his family from the great distress.
77. And We made his descendants those who remained.
78. And We left for him honorable mention among later generations.
79. Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds.
80. Indeed, thus do We reward the doers of good.
81. Truly, he was among Our believing servants.
82. Then We drowned the others.
83. And indeed, among his adherents was Abraham.
84. When he came to his Lord with a pure heart.
85. When he said to his father and his people, "What is it that you worship?
86. Is it falsehood — gods other than Allah — that you desire?
87. Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"
88. Then he cast a glance at the stars.
89. And said, "Indeed, I am sick."
90. So they turned away from him, departing.
91. Then he quietly slipped away to their gods and said, "Will you not eat?
92. What is the matter with you that you do not speak?"
93. Then he turned stealthily upon them, striking with his right hand.
94. Then they advanced toward him, hastening.
95. He said, "Do you worship that which you yourselves carve?
96. While Allah created you and that which you make."
97. They said, "Build for him a structure and cast him into the blazing fire."
98. Thus they intended a plot against him, but We made them the lowest.
99. And he said, "Indeed, I am going to my Lord; He will guide me.
100. My Lord, grant me from among the righteous."
101. So We gave him glad tidings of a forbearing boy.
102. Then when he reached the age of striving with him, he said, "O my son, I see in a dream that I am sacrificing you; so consider what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded; you will find me, if Allah wills, among the patient."
103. Then when they had both submitted, and he laid him down upon his forehead.
104. And We called out to him, "O Abraham.
105. You have fulfilled the vision." Certainly, thus do We reward the doers of good.
106. Truly, this was indeed the clear trial.
107. And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice.
108. And We left for him among later generations.
109. Peace be upon Abraham.
110. Thus do We reward the doers of good.
111. Truly, he was among Our believing servants.
112. And We gave him glad tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous.
113. And We blessed him and Isaac; and among their descendants are those who do good, and those who clearly wrong themselves.
114. And certainly, We bestowed favor upon Moses and Aaron.
115. And We saved them and their people from the great distress.
116. And We supported them, so it was they who prevailed.
117. And We gave them the Clear Book.
118. And We guided them upon the straight path.
119. And We left for them among later generations.
120. Peace be upon Moses and Aaron.
121. Certainly, thus do We reward the doers of good.
122. Truly, they were among Our believing servants.
123. And truly, Elias was among the messengers.
124. When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah?
125. Do you call upon Baal and forsake the best of creators.
126. Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?"
127. But they denied him; so indeed, they will be brought forth.
128. Except for Allah's sincere servants.
129. And We left for him among later generations.
130. Peace be upon Elias.
131. Certainly, thus do We reward the doers of good.
132. Truly, he was among Our believing servants.
133. And truly, Lot was among the messengers.
134. When We saved him and all his family.
135. Except an old woman among those who remained behind.
136. Then We utterly destroyed the others.
137. And indeed, you pass by them in the morning.
138. And by night; will you not then understand?
139. And surely, Jonah was among the messengers.
140. When he fled to the laden ship.
141. Then he drew lots, and was among those cast away.
142. Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy.
143. And had he not been among those who glorify.
144. He would have remained in its belly until the Day they are resurrected.
145. But We cast him onto the open shore, while he was ill.
146. And We caused to grow over him a gourd plant.
147. And We sent him to a hundred thousand or more.
148. And they believed; so We granted them enjoyment for a time.
149. So ask them: Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?
150. Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?
151. Truly, it is from their falsehood that they say.
152. "Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars.
153. Has He chosen daughters over sons?
154. What is the matter with you? How do you judge?
155. Will you not then reflect?
156. Or do you have a clear authority?
157. Then bring your scripture, if you are truthful.
158. And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship; yet certainly the jinn know that they will be brought forth.
159. Glory be to Allah above what they describe.
160. Except the sincere servants of Allah.
161. For indeed, you and whatever you worship.
162. You are not ones to lead astray over Him.
163. Except one who is to burn in the Hellfire.
164. "And there is none among us but has a known position.
165. And indeed, it is we who stand in ranks.
166. And indeed, it is we who glorify."
167. And indeed, they used to say.
168. "If only we had a reminder from those of old.
169. We would surely have been sincere servants of Allah."
170. Yet they disbelieved in it; but soon they will know.
171. And certainly, Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers.
172. That indeed, they will surely be given victory.
173. And indeed, Our forces — they will surely prevail.
174. So turn away from them for a time.
175. And observe them, for soon they will see.
176. Do they then hasten Our punishment?
177. But when it descends upon their territory, evil will be the morning of those who were warned.
178. And turn away from them for a time.
179. And observe, for soon they will see.
180. Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above what they describe.
181. And peace be upon the messengers.
182. And praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
