In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
1. Praise be to Allah, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth; and to Him belongs praise in the Hereafter. And He is the Wise, the All-Aware.
2. He knows what enters into the earth and what emerges from it, and what descends from the sky and what ascends into it; and He is the Merciful, the Forgiving.
3. And those who disbelieve say, "The Hour will not come to us." Say, "Yes, by my Lord, it will surely come to you — the Knower of the unseen. Not absent from Him is an atom's weight in the heavens or on earth, nor anything smaller than that or greater, except that it is in a clear Book."
4. That He may reward those who believe and do righteous deeds; those — for them is forgiveness and a noble provision.
5. But those who strive against Our verses, seeking to undermine — those, for them is a punishment of painful torment.
6. And those who have been given knowledge see that what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, and it guides to the path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.
7. And those who disbelieve say, "Shall we direct you to a man who informs you that when you have been utterly torn apart, you will indeed be in a new creation?
8. Has he invented a lie against Allah, or is there madness in him?" Rather, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are in punishment and far astray.
9. Have they not seen what is before them and behind them of the heaven and the earth? If We willed, We could cause the earth to swallow them, or cause fragments from the sky to fall upon them. Surely in that is a sign for every servant who turns back.
10. And certainly We gave David favor from Us: "O mountains, repeat praises with him, and the birds." And We made iron pliable for him.
11. "Make full coats of armor, and measure precisely the links." And do righteous deeds; indeed, I am All-Seeing of what you do.
12. And to Solomon, the wind — its morning journey was a month, and its evening journey was a month. And We caused a spring of molten metal to flow for him. And among the jinn were those who worked before him by the permission of his Lord; and whoever among them deviated from Our command, We made him taste the punishment of the Blaze.
13. They made for him whatever he wished of sanctuaries, statues, basins like reservoirs, and firmly fixed cauldrons. "Work, O family of David, in gratitude." Yet few of My servants are grateful.
14. Then when We decreed death for him, nothing indicated to them his death except a creature of the earth eating his staff. But when he fell down, it became clear to the jinn that if they had known the unseen, they would not have remained in humiliating punishment.
15. Certainly, there was for Sheba in their dwelling a sign: two gardens, on the right and on the left. "Eat from the provision of your Lord and be grateful to Him — a good land and a forgiving Lord."
16. But they turned away, so We sent upon them the flood of the dam, and replaced their two gardens with two gardens bearing bitter fruit, tamarisks, and a few lote trees.
17. Thus We recompensed them for their disbelief; and do We recompense except the ungrateful?
18. And We placed between them and the towns which We had blessed visible towns, and We regulated the journey between them: "Travel between them safely by night and by day."
19. But they said, "Our Lord, lengthen the distances between our journeys," and they wronged themselves; so We made them into tales and scattered them in total dispersion. Truly, in that are signs for every patient, grateful one.
20. And certainly, Iblis confirmed his assumption about them, so they followed him, except for a group among the believers.
21. And he had no authority over them, except that We might know who believes in the Hereafter from who is in doubt about it; and your Lord is, over all things, Guardian.
22. Say, "Call upon those whom you claim besides Allah; they possess not even the weight of an atom in the heavens or on earth, nor have they any share in either, nor has He among them any helper."
23. And intercession does not benefit with Him except for one whom He permits; until, when terror is removed from their hearts, they say, "What has your Lord said?" They say, "The truth," and He is the Most High, the Great.
24. Say, "Who provides for you from the heavens and the earth?" Say, "Allah. And indeed, either we or you are upon guidance or in clear error."
25. Say, "You will not be questioned about the crimes we have committed, nor will we be questioned about what you do."
26. Say, "Our Lord will gather us together, then He will judge between us in truth; and He is the Judge, the All-Knowing."
27. Say, "Show me those whom you have joined with Him as partners." No; rather, He is Allah, the Almighty, the Wise.
28. And We have not sent you except comprehensively to humankind as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner; but most people do not know.
29. And they say, "When is this promise, if you are truthful?"
30. Say, "For you is the appointment of a Day which you cannot delay by an hour, nor can you advance."
31. And those who disbelieve say, "We will never believe in this Quran, nor in that which was before it." If only you could see when the wrongdoers are made to stand before their Lord, turning words back upon one another; those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, "If not for you, we would have been believers."
32. Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed, "Did we avert you from guidance after it had come to you? Rather, you yourselves were criminals."
33. And those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, 'Rather, it was the plotting of night and day, when you commanded us to disbelieve in Allah and to set up equals to Him.' And they will conceal their regret when they see the punishment; and We will place shackles upon the necks of those who disbelieved. Will they be recompensed except for what they used to do?
34. And We did not send into any town a warner except that its affluent ones said, "We indeed disbelieve in that with which you have been sent."
35. And they said, "We have greater wealth and children, and we will not be punished."
36. Say, "Truly, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills and restricts it, but most people do not know."
37. And it is not your wealth nor your children that bring you nearer to Us, except for those who believe and do righteous deeds; for them is a multiplied reward for what they did, and they will be secure in lofty chambers.
38. And those who strive against Our verses, seeking to frustrate — those will be brought forth into the punishment.
39. Say, "Truly, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills among His servants and restricts it for him; and whatever you spend of anything, He replaces it, and He is the best of providers."
40. And on the Day when He gathers them all together, then He will say to the angels, "Was it you these used to worship?"
41. They will say, "Glory be to You! You are our Protector, not them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them."
42. So today none of you has power to benefit or harm another; and We will say to those who did wrong, "Taste the punishment of the Fire, which you used to deny."
43. And when Our clear verses are recited to them, they say, "This is nothing but a man who wishes to turn you away from what your fathers used to worship." And they say, "This is nothing but an invented lie." And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it comes to them, "This is nothing but clear magic."
44. And We had not given them any scriptures which they could study, nor had We sent to them before you any warner.
45. And those before them denied, though they did not reach one-tenth of what We had given them; yet they denied My messengers — so how severe was My reproach!
46. Say, "I only advise you of one thing: that you stand for Allah, in pairs and individually, then reflect; there is no madness in your companion — he is only a warner to you before a severe punishment."
47. Say, "Whatever reward I have asked of you, it is yours; my reward is only upon Allah, and He is Witness over all things."
48. Say, "My Lord casts forth the truth — the Knower of the unseen."
49. Say, "The truth has come, and falsehood neither originates nor restores."
50. Say, "If I stray, I stray only against myself; and if I am guided, it is by what my Lord reveals to me. Truly, He is Hearing, Near."
51. If you could but see when they are terrified — there will be no escape; and they will be seized from a place nearby.
52. And they will say, "We believe in it," but how can they attain it from a distant place?
53. Yet they had disbelieved in it before, hurling conjectures about the unseen from a distant place.
54. And a barrier will be placed between them and what they desire, as was done with their kind before; indeed, they were in disquieting doubt.
