In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

1. By the night as it covers.

2. By the day as it shines forth.

3. By the One Who created male and female.

4. Truly, your efforts are diverse.

5. As for the one who gives generously and is mindful of Allah.

6. And affirms goodness.

7. We will surely ease his way toward ease.

8. But as for the one who is stingy and considers himself self-sufficient.

9. And denies goodness.

10. We will surely ease his way toward hardship.

11. And his wealth will not help him when he falls.

12. Surely, guidance is upon Us.

13. And to Us belong both the Hereafter and this life.

14. So I have warned you of a blazing Fire.

15. Which none will enter except the most wretched.

16. The one who denies and turns away.

17. But the most righteous will be kept far from it.

18. The one who gives his wealth, purifying himself.

19. Not seeking to repay anyone for a favor.

20. But only seeking the Face of his Lord, the Most High.

21. And he will surely be well pleased.
