In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

1. By the dawn.

2. And by the ten nights.

3. And by the even and the odd.

4. And by the night as it passes.

5. Is there not in these an oath for those who understand?

6. Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the people of Aad?

7. Of Iram, with the pillars.

8. The like of which was never created in the lands.

9. And with Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley.

10. And with Pharaoh, with the stakes.

11. They all transgressed greatly in their lands.

12. And they spread corruption therein abundantly.

13. So your Lord unleashed upon them a scourge of punishment.

14. Truly, your Lord is ever watchful.

15. As for the human being, when his Lord tests him by honoring him and blessing him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."

16. But when He tests him by restricting his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."

17. Certainly not! Rather, you do not honor the orphan.

18. Nor do you encourage one another to feed the poor.

19. And you greedily devour inheritance.

20. And you passionately love wealth.

21. Certainly not! When the earth is crushed to dust, utterly crushed.

22. And your Lord comes, and the angels, rank upon rank.

23. And Hellfire is brought forth on that Day — on that Day the human being will remember, but what good will remembering do then?

24. He will cry out, "If only I had prepared for my true life."

25. On that Day, no one will punish as He punishes.

26. And no one will bind as He binds.

27. O tranquil soul.

28. Return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing to Him.

29. Enter among My servants.

30. And enter My Paradise.
