In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

1. Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High.

2. Who created and perfectly shaped.

3. Who determined and guided.

4. Who brings forth lush pasture.

5. Then turns it into dry, darkened stubble.

6. We will make you read, so do not forget.

7. Except what Allah wills. He knows what is open and what is hidden.

8. And We will ease your way toward ease.

9. So remind, if the reminder benefits.

10. Those who fear Allah will take heed.

11. But the most wretched will turn away.

12. The one who will enter the great Fire.

13. Where he will neither die nor live.

14. Truly successful is the one who purifies himself.

15. Who remembers the name of his Lord and prays.

16. Yet you prefer the life of this world.

17. Though the Hereafter is far better and everlasting.

18. This is certainly in the earlier scriptures.

19. The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
