In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

1. When the sky splits apart.

2. And obeys its Lord — as it rightly must.

3. And when the earth is stretched out.

4. And casts out all that is within it, becoming empty.

5. And obeys its Lord — as it rightly must.

6. O human being, you are striving restlessly toward your Lord, and you will surely meet Him.

7. As for the one who receives his record in his right hand.

8. He will have an easy reckoning.

9. And will return joyfully to his family.

10. But as for the one who receives his record behind his back.

11. He will cry out for destruction.

12. And enter the blazing fire.

13. He used to live joyfully among his family.

14. Thinking he would never return.

15. But yes! His Lord was always watching him closely.

16. So I swear by the twilight glow.

17. And by the night and all it gathers.

18. And by the moon when it becomes full.

19. You will surely journey onward, stage after stage.

20. So what is wrong with them, that they refuse to believe?

21. And when the Quran is read to them, they do not bow down.

22. Rather, those who disbelieve persist in denial.

23. Yet Allah knows best what they hide within.

24. So give them the news of a painful punishment.

25. Except those who believe and do righteous deeds; for them is a reward that will never end.
