In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

1. When the sun is wrapped in darkness.

2. And when the stars fall, scattered.

3. And when the mountains are set in motion.

4. And when pregnant camels are abandoned.

5. And when wild beasts are gathered together.

6. And when the seas burst.

7. And when souls are paired.

8. And when the girl buried alive is asked.

9. For what sin was she killed?

10. And when the records are laid open.

11. And when the sky is stripped away.

12. And when Hellfire is set ablaze.

13. And when Paradise is brought near.

14. Then each soul will know what it has brought forth.

15. Truly, I swear by the retreating stars.

16. Those that glide and disappear.

17. And by the night as it departs.

18. And by the dawn as it softly breathes.

19. This is surely the word of a noble messenger.

20. Possessing power, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne.

21. Obeyed there, and trustworthy.

22. Your companion is not insane.

23. He certainly saw him on the clear horizon.

24. Nor does he withhold knowledge of the unseen.

25. Nor is this the word of an outcast devil.

26. So where are you going?

27. This is nothing but a reminder for all people.

28. For whoever among you wills to walk the straight path.

29. Yet you cannot will it unless Allah, Lord of all worlds, wills it.
