In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

1. Has there not come upon the human being a time when he was nothing even worth mentioning?

2. Truly, We created the human being from a mixed drop, testing him, and We made him hearing and seeing.

3. We guided him to the path — whether he is grateful or ungrateful.

4. Certainly, for those who deny, We have prepared chains, shackles, and blazing fire.

5. But the righteous will drink from a cup flavored with camphor.

6. A spring from which Allah's servants will drink, causing it to gush abundantly.

7. They fulfill their vows and fear a Day whose harm will spread far and wide.

8. They give food — despite their love for it — to the poor, the orphan, and the captive.

9. Saying, "We feed you only for the sake of Allah; we seek neither reward nor thanks from you.

10. Truly, we fear from our Lord a Day of grimness and distress."

11. So Allah will shield them from the harm of that Day, granting them radiance and joy.

12. And reward them, for their patience, with Paradise and garments of silk.

13. Reclining there upon couches, they will feel neither scorching sun nor bitter cold.

14. Its shades will be close above them, and its fruits will hang low within easy reach.

15. Silver vessels and cups of crystal will be passed around among them.

16. Crystal vessels made of silver, perfectly measured.

17. They will be served a drink flavored with ginger.

18. A spring therein named Salsabeel.

19. Eternal youths will circulate among them; if you saw them, you would think them scattered pearls.

20. And wherever you look, you will see bliss and a magnificent kingdom.

21. They will wear garments of fine green silk and rich brocade, adorned with silver bracelets, and their Lord will give them a pure drink.

22. "Truly, this is your reward, and your efforts have been gratefully accepted."

23. Certainly, it is We Who have gradually revealed to you the Quran.

24. So be patient with your Lord's decree, and do not obey any sinner or denier among them.

25. Remember the name of your Lord morning and evening.

26. And during the night, bow down before Him, and glorify Him throughout the long hours of the night.

27. Truly, these people love the fleeting life, leaving behind them a heavy Day.

28. It is We Who created them and strengthened their forms, and if We willed, We could easily replace them with others like them.

29. Surely, this is a reminder — so whoever wills, let him take a path toward his Lord.

30. Yet you cannot will it unless Allah wills. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

31. He admits whomever He wills into His mercy, but for the wrongdoers, He has prepared a painful punishment.
