In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

1. Noon. By the pen and what they write.

2. By the grace of your Lord, you are certainly not insane.

3. And surely, you will have a reward that never ends.

4. And truly, you have a great moral character.

5. Soon you will see, and they too will see.

6. Which of you is the afflicted one.

7. Your Lord knows best who has strayed from His path, and He knows best who is rightly guided.

8. So do not yield to those who deny the truth.

9. They wish you would compromise, so they too would compromise.

10. And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer.

11. A slanderer, spreading gossip everywhere.

12. Preventing good, aggressive, sinful.

13. Cruel, and on top of all that, fake.

14. Just because he has wealth and children.

15. When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "These are just ancient tales!"

16. We will brand him on the snout.

17. We have tested them, just as We tested the owners of the garden, who swore they would surely harvest its fruit at dawn.

18. Without making any exception.

19. But a disaster from your Lord swept through it while they slept.

20. And by morning, it was stripped bare.

21. At daybreak, they called out to one another.

22. "Go early to your plantation, if you want to harvest!"

23. So they set out, whispering secretly to each other.

24. "Make sure no poor person enters your garden today."

25. They went forth early, with determination.

26. But when they saw it, they cried, "We must have lost our way!

27. No, we have been utterly deprived!"

28. The most moderate among them said, "Why did you not glorify?"

29. They said, "Glory be to our Lord! Truly, we were wrongdoers."

30. Then they turned on each other, blaming one another.

31. They said, "Woe to us! We were truly arrogant.

32. Perhaps our Lord will grant us something better in its place. Truly, we turn eagerly to our Lord."

33. Such is the punishment — but the punishment of the Hereafter is far greater, if only they knew.

34. Surely, those mindful of Allah will have Gardens of bliss with their Lord.

35. Should We then treat those who submit to Allah like the guilty?

36. What is wrong with you? How do you judge?

37. Or do you have a scripture in which you study.

38. That you will have in it whatever you choose?

39. Or do you have binding oaths from Us, lasting until the Day of Resurrection, guaranteeing whatever you decide?

40. Ask them, who among them can guarantee this?

41. Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they are truthful.

42. On the Day the shin will be uncovered, and they will be called to prostrate, but they will not be able.

43. Their eyes humbled, overwhelmed by disgrace. They used to be called to prostrate when they were safe and sound.

44. So leave Me to deal with those who deny this message. We will gradually draw them from where they least expect.

45. And I give them respite — My plan is solid.

46. Or do you ask them for payment, burdening them with debt?

47. Or do they have knowledge of the unseen, which they write down?

48. So be patient with your Lord's decree, and do not be like the companion of the whale, who cried out in distress.

49. Had his Lord's grace not reached him, he would have been cast onto the barren shore, disgraced.

50. But his Lord chose him, and made him among the righteous.

51. The disbelievers nearly strike you down with their looks when they hear the Reminder, and they say, "He is truly insane!"

52. Yet it is nothing but a Reminder for all the worlds.
