In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

1. Everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah. To Him belongs all sovereignty, and to Him belongs all praise — and He has power over all things.

2. He is the One Who created you — yet among you are those who disbelieve and those who believe. Allah sees clearly all that you do.

3. He created the heavens and the earth with truth, shaped you, and perfected your forms — and to Him is your final return.

4. He knows all that is in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal. Allah fully knows what lies within hearts.

5. Has the news not reached you of those who disbelieved before? They tasted the bitter consequences of their deeds, and for them is a painful punishment.

6. That is because their messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they said, "Will mere humans guide us?" So they disbelieved and turned away. Yet Allah had no need of them — Allah is Self-Sufficient, Worthy of all praise.

7. Those who disbelieve claim they will never be raised again. Say, "Yes, by my Lord, you will certainly be raised, and then you will surely be informed of all you have done. That is easy for Allah."

8. So believe in Allah, His Messenger, and the Light We have sent down. Allah is fully aware of everything you do.

9. On the Day He gathers you for the Day of Gathering — that will be the Day of mutual loss and gain. Whoever believes in Allah and does righteous deeds, He will erase their sins and admit them into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to remain there forever. That is the supreme triumph.

10. But those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations — they are the companions of the Fire, remaining there forever. What a miserable destination!

11. No calamity strikes except by Allah's permission. Whoever believes in Allah, He guides their heart. Allah has full knowledge of all things.

12. Obey Allah and obey the Messenger. But if you turn away, then Our Messenger's duty is only to deliver the clear message.

13. Allah — there is no god except Him. So let the believers put their trust in Allah.

14. Believers, among your spouses and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. Yet if you pardon, overlook, and forgive, then surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

15. Your wealth and your children are only a test, while with Allah is a tremendous reward.

16. So be mindful of Allah as much as you can, listen and obey, and spend in charity — it is better for yourselves. Whoever is protected from the greed of their own soul — they are truly successful.

17. If you lend Allah a good loan, He will multiply it for you and forgive you. Allah is Most Appreciative, Most Forbearing.

18. Knower of the unseen and the seen — He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.
