In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
1. Ha. Meem.
2. By the clear Book.
3. Certainly, We sent it down on a blessed night — We have always been warners.
4. On that night, every wise decree is made distinct.
5. A command from Us — surely, We have always sent messengers.
6. As a mercy from your Lord. Surely, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
7. Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, if only you had firm faith.
8. There is no god but Him; He gives life and causes death — your Lord and the Lord of your earliest ancestors.
9. Yet they remain in doubt, amusing themselves.
10. So wait for the Day when the sky brings forth a visible smoke.
11. Covering all people. This is a painful punishment!
12. "Our Lord, remove this punishment from us — we truly believe!"
13. How can they be reminded now, when a clear messenger already came to them.
14. Yet they turned away from him, saying, "He is taught by others, a madman!"
15. We will remove the punishment for a short while, but you will surely return to your ways.
16. On the Day We seize with the greatest seizure, We will certainly take vengeance.
17. Before them, We tested Pharaoh's people, and a noble messenger came to them.
18. Saying, "Deliver to me Allah's servants — I am a trustworthy messenger sent to you.
19. Do not exalt yourselves against Allah; I bring you clear authority.
20. I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me.
21. If you refuse to believe me, then leave me alone."
22. Then he called upon his Lord, "These are wicked people."
23. "Set out with My servants by night — you will surely be pursued.
24. And leave the sea parted; they are an army destined to drown."
25. How many gardens and springs they left behind.
26. And fields and splendid dwellings.
27. And comforts in which they delighted!
28. So it was — and We granted it all to another people.
29. Neither heaven nor earth wept for them, nor were they given any respite.
30. Certainly, We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating punishment.
31. From Pharaoh — he was arrogant, among those who transgressed all bounds.
32. And We knowingly chose them above all other peoples.
33. And granted them signs containing a clear test.
34. Yet these people say.
35. "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we will never be raised again.
36. So bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!"
37. Are they better, or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them all — they were truly criminals.
38. We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything between them as mere play.
39. We created them only with truth, but most of them do not understand.
40. Surely, the Day of Separation is the appointed time for them all.
41. The Day when no friend will help another in the slightest, nor will they be aided.
42. Except those upon whom Allah has mercy. Truly, He alone is the Almighty, the Most Merciful.
43. Indeed, the tree of Zaqqum.
44. Is food for the sinful.
45. Like molten metal, boiling fiercely in their bellies.
46. Like the boiling of scalding water.
47. "Seize him and drag him into the very center of Hellfire!
48. Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water!
49. Taste this — you who considered yourself mighty and noble!
50. This is precisely what you used to doubt!"
51. Surely, the righteous will dwell in a secure place.
52. Amid gardens and flowing springs.
53. Dressed in fine silk and rich brocade, facing one another.
54. So it will be — and We will pair them with companions of pure, lovely eyes.
55. There they will call for every kind of fruit, safe and secure.
56. They will not taste death there, except the first death, and He will have protected them from the torment of Hellfire.
57. A generous favor from your Lord. That is the supreme triumph.
58. We have made this Quran easy in your own language, so that they may take heed.
59. So wait patiently — they too are waiting.
