In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

1. Alif. Lam. Meem.

2. This Book is revealed, without any doubt, from the Lord of all creation.

3. Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, so that you may warn a people who received no warner before you, that they might find guidance.

4. Allah is the One Who created the heavens and the earth and everything between them in six days, then established Himself upon the Throne. Apart from Him, you have no protector and no intercessor. Will you not then reflect?

5. He directs every matter from heaven down to earth, then it ascends back to Him in a day whose length is a thousand years by your counting.

6. Such is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Almighty, the Most Merciful.

7. Who perfected everything He created, and began the creation of the human being from clay.

8. Then He made his descendants from an extract of humble fluid.

9. Then He shaped him, and breathed into him from His spirit, and gave you hearing, sight, and hearts — yet how seldom you are grateful!

10. And they say, "When we have vanished into the earth, will we truly be created anew?" Rather, they deny the meeting with their Lord.

11. Say, "The angel of death appointed over you will take your souls, then you will be returned to your Lord."

12. If only you could see, when the guilty hang their heads before their Lord, saying, "Our Lord, now we have seen and heard; send us back, and we will do good deeds. Now we are certain!"

13. Had We willed, We could have guided every soul. But My decree will surely come to pass: "I will fill Hellfire with jinn and humans, altogether."

14. So taste the punishment for forgetting the meeting of this Day of yours; We too have forgotten you. Taste the everlasting torment, for what you used to do.

15. Only those believe in Our revelations who, when reminded of them, fall down in prostration, and glorify their Lord with praise, never showing arrogance.

16. Their sides forsake their beds, as they call upon their Lord with hope and fear, and they spend from what We have provided them.

17. No soul knows the delights kept hidden for them — as a reward for all they used to do.

18. Can one who believes ever be like one who defiantly disobeys? They are not equal.

19. As for those who believe and do righteous deeds, they will have Gardens of refuge as their welcoming reward for what they used to do.

20. But as for those who defiantly disobey, their refuge will be the Fire. Every time they try to escape from it, they will be driven back into it, and it will be said to them, "Taste the torment of the Fire, which you used to deny."

21. We will surely make them taste the lesser punishment, before the greater punishment, so that they may return.

22. Who could be more unjust, than one who is reminded of his Lord's revelations, yet turns away from them? Truly, We will take vengeance upon the guilty.

23. Certainly, We gave Moses the Scripture — so do not doubt the meeting with Him — and We made it a guidance for the Children of Israel.

24. And from among them, We appointed leaders who guided by Our command, when they patiently endured and firmly believed in Our revelations.

25. Your Lord Himself will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection, regarding all that they used to differ about.

26. Has it not become clear to them, how many generations We destroyed before them, whose ruined homes they now walk through? Surely, in this are signs — will they not listen?

27. Do they not see how We drive rain to barren land, bringing forth crops from which their livestock and they themselves eat? Will they not then see?

28. And they say, "When will this decisive victory come, if you are truthful?"

29. Say, "On the Day of victory, the faith of those who disbelieved will not benefit them, nor will they be granted any delay."

30. So turn away from them and wait — they too are waiting.
