In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
1. Ta. Seen. These are the verses of the Quran — a clear and enlightening Book.
2. A guidance and joyful news for the believers.
3. Those who establish prayer, give charity, and firmly believe in the Hereafter.
4. As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds appear attractive to them, so they wander blindly.
5. They are the ones who will suffer the worst punishment, and in the Hereafter, they will be the greatest losers.
6. Certainly, you receive the Quran from One Who is All-Wise, All-Knowing.
7. Remember when Moses said to his family, "I see a fire. I will bring you news from there, or a burning torch, so you may warm yourselves."
8. But when he reached it, a voice called out: "Blessed is whoever is in the fire, and whoever is around it. Glory be to Allah, Lord of all worlds!
9. O Moses, truly, I am Allah — the Almighty, the Wise.
10. Now throw down your staff." When he saw it moving, as if it were a serpent, he turned and fled without looking back. "O Moses, do not fear! The messengers do not fear in My presence.
11. Except those who have done wrong, but then replaced evil with good; for indeed, I am Forgiving, Merciful.
12. Now place your hand inside your garment; it will come out shining white, without any harm. These are among nine signs to Pharaoh and his people. Truly, they are a rebellious people."
13. Yet when Our clear signs came to them, they said, "This is obvious magic!"
14. They rejected them unjustly and arrogantly, even though their hearts were convinced. See then, how the corruptors met their end.
15. Certainly, We granted knowledge to David and Solomon. They both said, "Praise be to Allah, Who has favored us above many of His believing servants."
16. Solomon inherited from David, and said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given of everything. Truly, this is a clear favor."
17. Solomon's forces of jinn, humans, and birds were gathered before him, arranged in orderly ranks.
18. When they came upon the valley of ants, one ant called out, "O ants, enter your dwellings, lest Solomon and his troops crush, you while they are unaware."
19. Solomon smiled, laughing at her words, and said, "My Lord, inspire me to be grateful for Your blessings upon me and my parents, and to do good deeds that please You. And by Your mercy, admit me among Your righteous servants."
20. He inspected the birds, and said, "Why do I not see the hoopoe? Or is he among the absent?"
21. "I will surely punish him severely, or slaughter him, unless he brings me a clear justification."
22. But the hoopoe did not stay away long, and said, "I have learned something you do not know, and I bring you certain news from Sheba."
23. "I found a woman ruling over them, who has been given everything, and she possesses a magnificent throne."
24. "I found her, and her people bowing down to the sun instead of Allah. Satan has made their deeds appealing to them, turning them away from the right path, so they are not guided."
25. So that they do not prostrate to Allah, Who brings forth what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and Who knows all that you conceal, and all that you reveal?
26. Allah — there is no god but Him, Lord of the Great Throne.
27. Solomon said, "We shall see whether you have spoken the truth, or whether you are among the liars.
28. Take this letter of mine, deliver it to them, then withdraw from them, and observe how they respond."
29. She said, "O chiefs, a noble letter has been delivered to me.
30. It is from Solomon, and it reads: 'In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
31. Do not exalt yourselves against me, but come to me in submission.'"
32. She said, "O chiefs, advise me in this matter — I would never decide a matter, until you are present."
33. They replied, "We possess great strength and mighty courage, but the decision rests with you. Consider carefully what you command."
34. She said, "When kings enter a city, they ruin it, and humiliate its honored people — this is always their way.
35. But I will send them a gift, and see what response the messengers bring back."
36. When the envoys came to Solomon, he said, "Are you offering me wealth? What Allah has granted me is far better than what He has given you. It is you who rejoice in your gift.
37. Return to them. We will surely come against them with forces they cannot resist, and we will drive them out from there, humbled and disgraced."
38. Solomon said, "O chiefs, which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"
39. A powerful one among the jinn said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your seat. I am strong enough and trustworthy."
40. But one who had knowledge of the Scripture said, "I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you." When Solomon saw it placed before him, he said, "This is from my Lord's favor, to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful. Whoever is grateful, it is for his own benefit; and whoever is ungrateful, my Lord is truly Self-Sufficient, Most Generous."
41. Solomon said, "Disguise her throne for her; let us see whether she recognizes it, or remains among those who do not recognize."
42. When she arrived, she was asked, "Is your throne like this?" She replied, "It seems to be the same. We were given knowledge beforehand, and we had already submitted."
43. What she worshiped besides Allah prevented her — indeed, she belonged to a people who disbelieved.
44. She was told, "Enter the palace." When she saw it, she thought it was a pool of water, and uncovered her legs. Solomon said, "It is a palace paved with crystal." She said, "My Lord, I have wronged myself, and now I submit with Solomon, to Allah, Lord of all the worlds."
45. Certainly, We sent to Thamud their brother Salih, saying, "Worship Allah alone." But immediately they split into two factions, arguing.
46. He said, "My people, why do you rush toward evil rather than good? Why not seek Allah's forgiveness, so that you may receive mercy?"
47. They replied, "We see you and your followers as a bad omen." He said, "Your omen is with Allah. Rather, you are a people being tested."
48. Now, in the city there were nine men who spread corruption throughout the land, and never set things right.
49. They said, "Swear by Allah to one another, that we will surely attack him and his family by night. Then we will say to his guardian, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and we are certainly telling the truth.'"
50. Thus they devised a plot, and We devised a plan of Our own, while they were unaware.
51. See then how their plotting ended: We utterly destroyed them, and their entire people.
52. Now their houses lie empty, ruined because of their wrongdoing. Truly, in this is a clear sign for people who understand.
53. And We saved those who believed and were mindful of Allah.
54. And Lot, when he said to his people, "How can you commit such shameful acts, while you see?
55. Do you really approach men with desire instead of women? Truly, you are a people lost in ignorance."
56. But his people's only response was to say, "Drive Lot's family out of your town — they are people who keep themselves pure."
57. So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to remain behind.
58. And We poured upon them a devastating rain — how terrible was the rain that fell upon those who had been warned!
59. Say, "All praise belongs to Allah, and peace be upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allah better, or what they associate with Him?"
60. Who created the heavens and the earth, and sent down rain from the sky for you, causing beautiful gardens to grow — gardens whose trees you could never have grown yourselves? Is there another god besides Allah? Yet they are people who equate others with Him.
61. Who made the earth a stable home, placed rivers flowing through it, set firm mountains upon it, and established a barrier between the two seas? Is there another god besides Allah? Yet most of them do not understand.
62. Who answers the desperate when they call upon Him, removes their suffering, and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there another god besides Allah? How seldom you reflect!
63. Who guides you through the darkness of land and sea, and sends winds as joyful heralds of His mercy? Is there another god besides Allah? Exalted is Allah, above whatever they associate with Him!
64. Who originates creation, then repeats it, and provides for you from heaven and earth? Is there another god besides Allah? Say, "Bring your proof, if you are truthful."
65. Say, "No one in the heavens or on earth knows the unseen, except Allah, nor do they perceive when they will be resurrected."
66. Rather, their knowledge does not reach the Hereafter. Rather, they are in doubt about it. Rather, they are blind to it.
67. Those who disbelieve say, "When we and our ancestors have become dust, will we really be brought forth again?
68. We and our ancestors were promised this before. These are nothing but ancient myths."
69. Say, "Travel through the earth, and see how the guilty ended up."
70. Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed by their schemes.
71. They ask, "When will this promise come true, if you are truthful?"
72. Say, "Perhaps some of what you impatiently demand is already close behind you."
73. Truly, your Lord is gracious to people, yet most of them are ungrateful.
74. And your Lord certainly knows what their hearts conceal, and what they openly declare.
75. Nothing hidden in the heavens or the earth exists except that it is in a clear Book.
76. Truly, this Quran clarifies for the Children of Israel most of what they differ about.
77. And it is surely guidance and mercy for the believers.
78. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His judgment, for He is the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
79. So put your trust in Allah, for you are clearly upon the truth.
80. You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear your call, when they turn away.
81. Nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can only make those hear who believe in Our revelations, and who willingly submit.
82. When the decree falls upon them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth, speaking to them that the people were not certain of Our revelations.
83. On that Day, We will gather from every community a group of those who rejected Our revelations, and they will be driven forth in ranks.
84. Until, when they arrive, He will say, "Did you deny My revelations without fully grasping them in knowledge, or what was it that you used to do?"
85. And the decree will fall upon them, for the wrong they committed, and they will be unable to speak.
86. Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest in, and the day bright and clear? Surely, in this are signs for people who believe.
87. On the Day when the trumpet is blown, all who are in the heavens and on the earth will be struck with terror, except those whom Allah wills. And all will come before Him in utter humility.
88. You see the mountains, and think them fixed, yet they pass, like the passing of clouds — such is the handiwork of Allah, Who perfected all things. He is fully aware of all that you do.
89. Whoever comes with a good deed, will receive something far better; and on that Day, they will be safe from fear.
90. But whoever comes with evil deeds — their faces will be overturned in the Fire. Are you repaid except for what you used to do?
91. "I have only been commanded to worship the Lord of this city, which He has made sacred, and to Whom all things belong. And I have been commanded to be among those who submit to Him."
92. "And to recite the Quran." Whoever chooses guidance, does so for his own benefit. And whoever goes astray, say, "I am only one of the warners."
93. And say, "All praise belongs to Allah. He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. Your Lord is never unaware of what you do."
