In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

1. Allah's command is coming, so do not rush it. Glory be to Him — far above anything they associate with Him.

2. He sends down angels, with revelation, by His command, to whomever He chooses among His servants, saying, "Warn them that there is no god but Me, so be mindful of Me."

3. He created the heavens and the earth in truth. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.

4. He created the human being from a mere drop, yet suddenly he becomes an open opponent.

5. And He created livestock for you; in them is warmth, and many benefits, and from them you eat.

6. In them is beauty for you, when you bring them home in the evening, and when you lead them out to pasture in the morning.

7. They carry your heavy loads to distant lands you could only reach with great hardship. Truly, your Lord is Kind and Merciful.

8. And He created horses, mules, and donkeys for you to ride, and as adornment. And He creates things you do not yet know.

9. It is upon Allah to show the straight path, though some paths deviate. Had He willed, He could have guided you all.

10. He is the One Who sends down water from the sky; from it you drink, and from it grow plants on which you pasture your animals.

11. With it, He causes crops to grow for you — olives, date palms, grapevines, and fruits of every kind. Surely, in this is a sign for people who reflect.

12. He has subjected for you the night and the day, the sun and the moon; and the stars are made subject by His command. Surely, in this are signs for people who understand.

13. And all that He has scattered for you throughout the earth, diverse in colors — surely, in this is a sign for people who take heed.

14. He is the One Who subjected the sea, so you may eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments to wear. You see ships cutting through its waves, so you may seek His bounty, and perhaps be grateful.

15. And He placed firm mountains upon the earth, so it would not shake beneath you, and rivers and pathways, so you may find your way.

16. And landmarks as well; and by the stars, they find their way.

17. Is the One Who creates like one who cannot create? Will you not then reflect?

18. If you tried to count Allah's blessings, you could never number them all. Truly, Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

19. Allah knows all that you conceal, and all that you reveal.

20. Those they call upon besides Allah create nothing — they themselves are created.

21. They are lifeless, not living, and they do not even know when they will be resurrected.

22. Your God is One God. But those who do not believe in the Hereafter — their hearts deny the truth, and they are arrogant.

23. Without a doubt, Allah knows what they hide, and what they openly declare. He does not love the arrogant.

24. When they are asked, "What has your Lord sent down?" they say, "Ancient myths!"

25. On the Day of Resurrection, they will bear their own burdens fully, and also some of the burdens of those they misled without knowledge. How terrible is the burden they will carry!

26. Those before them plotted as well, but Allah struck at the very foundations of their buildings, causing the roofs to collapse upon them from above them. And punishment came upon them from where they least expected.

27. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will disgrace them, and say, "Where are My partners for whose sake you used to oppose?" Those given knowledge will say, "Today, disgrace and misery fall upon the disbelievers."

28. Those whose souls the angels take while they are wronging themselves, will surrender, saying, "We were not doing anything evil." But yes, Allah surely knows all that you used to do.

29. So enter the gates of Hell, to remain there forever. How wretched is the home of the arrogant!

30. When those mindful of Allah are asked, "What has your Lord sent down?" they say, "All that is good." For those who do good in this world, there is goodness, and the home of the Hereafter is even better. How excellent is the home of the righteous!

31. Gardens of eternity, which they will enter, beneath which rivers flow. There they will have whatever they wish. This is how Allah rewards those who are mindful of Him.

32. Those whose souls the angels take in a state of purity, saying, "Peace be upon you! Enter Paradise, for what you used to do."

33. Are they waiting for anything, except that the angels should come to them, or that your Lord's command should arrive? Those before them did the same. Allah did not wrong them; rather, they wronged themselves.

34. So the evil consequences of their deeds overtook them, and they were surrounded by the very punishment they used to mock.

35. Those who worship others alongside Allah, say, "If Allah had willed, neither we nor our ancestors would have worshiped anything besides Him, nor would we have forbidden anything without His command." Those before them said the same. Is there any duty upon the messengers except to deliver the clear message?

36. Certainly, We sent a messenger to every community, saying, "Worship Allah and avoid false gods." Among them were those whom Allah guided, and others who deserved to remain astray. So travel through the land, and observe how the deniers ended up.

37. Even if you eagerly desire their guidance, Allah does not guide those He leaves astray, and they will have no helpers.

38. They swear by Allah their strongest oaths, "Allah will never raise the dead." But yes — this is a true promise binding upon Him, though most people do not realize it.

39. He will make clear to them the truth of what they disputed, and those who denied will realize that they were liars.

40. When We intend something, Our word to it is simply, "Be," and it is.

41. As for those who emigrated for Allah's sake after being wronged, We will surely grant them a good place in this world — and the reward of the Hereafter is even greater, if only they knew.

42. They are those who patiently endure, and place their trust in their Lord.

43. We sent before you only men whom We inspired — so ask the people of knowledge if you do not know.

44. We sent them with clear proofs, and scriptures. And We have revealed to you the Reminder, so that you may clearly explain to people what was sent down to them, and so they may reflect.

45. Do those who plot evil deeds feel secure, that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them, or that punishment will not come upon them from where they least expect?

46. Or that He will not seize them suddenly in the midst of their activities, leaving them powerless to escape?

47. Or that He will not seize them gradually through fear? Yet your Lord is truly Kind and Merciful.

48. Have they not observed how the shadows of everything Allah created shift from right to left, prostrating humbly before Allah?

49. To Allah alone prostrates every creature in the heavens and on earth, and the angels as well — and they never act arrogantly.

50. They fear their Lord above them, and they do exactly as they are commanded.

51. Allah has said, "Do not take two gods; He is only One God, so fear Me alone."

52. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and the earth, and constant devotion is due to Him alone. Will you then fear anyone other than Allah?

53. Whatever blessing you have, is from Allah. Yet when hardship touches you, you cry out to Him desperately.

54. But as soon as He removes your hardship, some of you immediately associate others with their Lord.

55. To show ingratitude for what We have given them. So enjoy yourselves for now; soon you will come to know.

56. They assign a share of what We have provided them, to things they know nothing about. By Allah, you will surely be questioned about the lies you invent.

57. They attribute daughters to Allah — glory be to Him — while they keep for themselves whatever they desire.

58. When one of them is given news of a baby girl, his face darkens with grief, and he is filled with suppressed anguish.

59. He hides from people because of the shame of the news he received. Should he keep her in disgrace, or bury her in the dust. How evil is the judgment they make!

60. Those who do not believe in the Hereafter have the worst example, while Allah has the highest example. He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.

61. If Allah were to punish people immediately for their wrongdoing, He would not leave a single living creature on earth. But He delays them until an appointed time. When their appointed time arrives, they cannot delay it by even an hour, nor can they hasten it.

62. They attribute to Allah what they themselves dislike, and their tongues falsely claim that the best reward awaits them. Without doubt, the Fire awaits them, and they will be abandoned there.

63. By Allah, We sent messengers to communities before you, but Satan made their deeds seem attractive to them. He is their ally today, and they will have a painful punishment.

64. We revealed the Book to you, only to clarify for them, what they differed about, and as guidance and mercy for people who believe.

65. Allah sends down water from the sky, reviving the earth after its death. Surely, in this is a sign for people who listen.

66. Certainly, in livestock there is a lesson for you: We give you drink from what is in their bellies — pure milk, pleasant for those who drink it, from between waste and blood.

67. And from the fruits of palm trees and grapevines, you derive sugar and wholesome provision. Surely, in this is a sign for people who understand.

68. And your Lord inspired the bee: "Make your homes in mountains, trees, and in what people build.

69. Then feed on every kind of fruit, and follow humbly the paths set by your Lord." From their bellies comes forth a drink of varying colors, containing healing for people. Truly, in this is a sign for those who reflect.

70. Allah created you, then He causes you to die. Some among you are returned to the weakest stage of life, so that after having knowledge, they know nothing at all. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.

71. Allah has favored some of you over others in provision. Yet those who have been favored do not share their provision equally with their dependents, making them equal partners. Do they then deny Allah's blessings?

72. Allah has given you spouses from among yourselves, and from your spouses, He has granted you children and grandchildren, and provided you with good things. Do they then believe in falsehood, and deny Allah's blessings?

73. Yet they worship besides Allah those who have no power to provide them with any provision from the heavens or the earth, nor are they capable.

74. So do not set forth comparisons for Allah. Allah knows, and you do not know.

75. Allah presents a comparison: a slave owned by another, unable to do anything, and a person whom We have generously provided with good provision, who spends from it openly and secretly. Are they equal? All praise belongs to Allah, but most of them do not understand.

76. And Allah presents another comparison: two men — one of them is mute, unable to do anything, a burden upon his master; wherever he directs him, he brings no good. Is he equal to one who commands justice, and follows a straight path?

77. To Allah belongs the unseen of the heavens and the earth. The coming of the Hour is no more than the blink of an eye, or even nearer. Allah has power over all things.

78. Allah brought you forth from your mothers' wombs, knowing nothing, and He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, so that you might be grateful.

79. Do they not see the birds, subjugated in the sky? None holds them aloft, except Allah. Truly, in this are signs for people who believe.

80. Allah has made your homes places of rest, and from the hides of animals, He has provided dwellings for you — light and easy to carry when you travel and when you settle. And from their wool, fur, and hair, He has given you furnishings, and useful goods for a time.

81. From what He created, Allah has provided shade for you, shelters in the mountains, garments to protect you from heat, and garments to shield you in battle. In this way, He completes His favor upon you, so that you may submit to Him.

82. But if they turn away, your duty is only to deliver the clear message.

83. They recognize Allah's blessings, yet they deny them — and most of them are disbelievers.

84. On the Day when We raise from every community a witness — those who disbelieved will neither be permitted to speak, nor allowed to make amends.

85. And when those who did wrong see the punishment, it will not be lightened for them, nor will they be granted any delay.

86. When those who associated see their partners, they will cry out, "Our Lord, these are the partners we used to call upon besides You!" But their partners will throw the words back at them, saying, "You are surely liars!"

87. On that Day, they will humbly submit to Allah, and all the falsehoods they invented will abandon them.

88. Those who disbelieved and turned others away from the path of Allah — We will add a punishment above their punishment, because of the corruption they used to spread.

89. On the Day when We raise from every community a witness from among themselves, We will bring you as a witness over these people. We have sent down to you the Book, an explanation of all things, as guidance, mercy, and good news for those who submit to Allah.

90. Allah commands justice, kindness, and generosity toward relatives, and He forbids immorality, wrongdoing, and oppression. He instructs you, so that you may take heed.

91. Fulfill your covenant with Allah, when you make a promise, and do not break your oaths after confirming them, having made Allah your witness. Allah surely knows all that you do.

92. Do not be like the woman who unraveled her yarn after spinning it firmly, nor use your oaths as a means of deception among yourselves, merely because one group may seem stronger than another. Allah only tests you through this. And on the Day of Resurrection, He will certainly clarify for you all that you used to dispute.

93. Had Allah willed, He could have made you all one community, but He allows to stray whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills. And you will surely be questioned about all that you used to do.

94. Do not use your oaths as a means of deception among yourselves, causing your feet to slip after they were firmly planted. Then you will taste suffering for turning others away from Allah's path, and you will have a tremendous punishment.

95. Do not trade Allah's covenant for a small price. What is with Allah is far better for you, if only you knew.

96. Whatever you have will run out, but whatever is with Allah endures forever. And We will surely reward those who patiently persevere, according to the best of their deeds.

97. Whoever does good deeds — whether male or female — while being a believer, We will most certainly grant him a good life, and We will reward them with the best of their actions.

98. So when you recite the Quran, seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the outcast.

99. He has no power over those who believe and place their trust in their Lord.

100. His power extends only over those who take him as an ally, and those who associate partners with Allah.

101. When We replace one verse with another, and Allah knows best what He reveals, they say, "You are merely inventing lies." But most of them do not understand.

102. Say, "The Holy Spirit has brought it down from your Lord, in truth, to strengthen those who believe, and as guidance and good news for those who submit."

103. We certainly know that they say, "It is only a human being who teaches him." But the language of the one they refer to is foreign, while this is clear Arabic speech.

104. Those who do not believe in Allah's revelations — Allah will not guide them, and for them is a painful punishment.

105. Only those who do not believe in Allah's revelations invent lies; it is they who are truly the liars.

106. Whoever denies Allah after having believed — except one who is forced, while their heart remains firm in faith — but whoever willingly opens their heart to disbelief, upon them is Allah's wrath, and theirs will be a tremendous punishment.

107. That is because they preferred this worldly life over the Hereafter, and because Allah does not guide those who reject the truth.

108. They are the ones whose hearts, hearing, and sight Allah has sealed, and they are utterly heedless.

109. Without a doubt, in the Hereafter, they will be the losers.

110. Yet your Lord — for those who emigrated after being persecuted, then struggled and remained patient — your Lord afterward is Forgiving, Merciful.

111. On the Day when every soul will come pleading for itself, and every soul will be fully repaid for what it has done, and none will be wronged.

112. Allah presents the example of a town that was safe and secure, receiving abundant provision from every direction. But its people became ungrateful for Allah's blessings, so He made them taste the garment of hunger and fear, because of what they used to do.

113. A messenger from among themselves had certainly come to them, but they rejected him. So punishment seized them while they were unjust.

114. So eat from the lawful and good things Allah has provided for you, and be grateful for Allah's blessings, if it is truly Him you worship.

115. He has only forbidden you carrion, blood, pork, and whatever is slaughtered in the name of other than Allah. But whoever is compelled by necessity — not willfully disobedient nor exceeding limits — then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

116. And do not falsely declare with your tongues, "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," inventing lies against Allah. Those who invent lies against Allah will never succeed.

117. A brief enjoyment — and theirs will be a painful punishment.

118. To those who followed Judaism, We prohibited what We previously related to you. We did not wrong them; rather, they wronged themselves.

119. Yet your Lord is surely forgiving and merciful toward those who commit wrong out of ignorance, then afterward repent and mend their ways.

120. Abraham was a leader, devoutly obedient to Allah, sincere, and never among those who worshiped others beside Him.

121. He was grateful for His blessings. Allah chose him, and guided him to a straight path.

122. We granted him goodness in this world, and in the Hereafter, he will certainly be among the righteous.

123. Then We revealed to you: "Follow the faith of Abraham, who was devoted purely to Allah, and never among those who worshiped others beside Him."

124. The Sabbath was ordained only for those who differed about it. Your Lord will surely judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding their disputes.

125. Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and gentle advice, and debate with them in the most gracious manner. Your Lord knows best who has strayed from His path, and He knows best who is rightly guided.

126. If you retaliate, respond only to the extent of the harm done to you. But if you patiently endure, it is certainly better for those who are patient.

127. Be patient — your patience comes only from Allah. Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed by their schemes.

128. Allah is surely with those who are mindful of Him and who do good.
